I have to say I love tomatoes and that's why I was just a little upset this morning when I read a yahoo story that gave a bad review for canned tomatoes ... they may cause cancer or something. Last month I read that canned string beans, my very favorite of all vegetables, will also cause cancer.
I have to wonder who is planting these stories and why?
If they are really so bad for us then how come they aren't banned. It's not like they are addictive like cigarettes that really should be banned.
I think we're being had.

I've learned to tolerate tomatoes (for the kids - if they're going to eat it mommy does too) - but am not able to eat them
Hi, I have to say I understand ... I don't care for tomatoes either (it's a texture thing) but I do like other veggies. Some times it's just a matter of finding the ones you do like.
I will try a new thing at least 3-5 things before writing it off. I hate RAW tomatoes too!!! I took grape tomatoes & cottage cz the other day and I couldn't eat the tomatoes. I forced 4 down, and thats after spitting out all the juice from the tomato. I've decided raw tomatoes are off my list. I figured out that is the juice i hate. I will eat a thinly sliced piece w/ skin/meat & no pulp on a sandwhich but thats pushing it. However, I love cooked tomatoes in soups & chili so I figure I'll get them that way, I'm not going to make myself suffer or I'll just binge.

i absolutely LOVE tomatoes and most veggies. I'm a pretty adventurous eater, that's what got me into trouble in the first place! This lifestyle is easy for me because I prefer clean foods so something I'll be able to stick with.

I have always been a picky eater, but after reading "French Women Don't Get Fat" I am trying like you to eat new foods. The author writes about enjoying new flavors! Yesterday I had a Thai Salad with spinach and cabbage, things I usually don't care much for. I too felt a few bites I had to choke down!
Decrease Body Fat percentage. I will do this by eating clean and cardio cardio cardio, I must not forget strength training, my goal is to strength train 4 days a week!
But I'm really trying hard. I don't like tomatoes... but yesterday I had a grilled chicken sandwich and I put lettuce and TOMATO on the sandwich. I ate it, and again, I won't say I didn't like it... BUT I was like nervous and shaky when I was eating it, how ridiculous!!! Anyone else trying to get over being ridiculously picky about fruits and veggies in their clean eating quest? Just curious!
