Since we are all busy peopple, and we are all trying to stay true to our goals, I thought that it would be nice to have a little discussion on clean snacks, or your fave clean meal.
My fave clean meal is stuffed peppers.
I take 4 colored bells (red, yellow, and orange) and clean them out, making them into little bowls.
I brown up 1 lb of ground turkey breast and add in onions and garlic while it is cooking.
I cook 2 cups of brown rice in vegetable broth and mix in with turkey to stuff the peppers.
To top the mixture, I take tomatoe sauce and season with italian seasoning, hot pepper sauce, and whatever else seems good - and pour over stuffed peppers.
I bake in a 300* oven until the peppers are softening up.
LOVE this meal.
For a clean snack - I really enjoy pairing a lean protein with some complex carbs, such as fruit and fat-free plain yogurt, or veggies and fat-free cottage cheese with pepper.
