I don't know if all grocery stores carry this, but the one I work at (in Onalaska, WI) does ... we only get 2 or 3 copies a month though. I always buy one issue of a mag and see if I like it, then go to their website and if I like what I see, I subscribe. Saves a lot of money. Eating Well, Experience Life, and Vegetarian Times (and I'm not vegetarian) are other really good magazines, by the way.
www.eatingwell.com
www.experiencelifemag.com
www.vegetariantimes.com
I know the Experience Life mag has an online version (save the earth!) that's having a free trial right now, and has archives of all past articles and recipes! I wonder if Eating Clean has the same ... to find that broccoli chicken recipe? I'm gonna zip to their website and see, that sounds YUMMY!!

Success is the sum of many small steps ...

Get to know me better!

Received the new one in the mail yesterday! Haven't really read thru yet. I like the page about "New Books" it gives you a little review if your thinking about purchasing one.

I just made the Sanccocho (sp?) soup from the latest issue and it was great. I used all organic chicken broth rather than 1/2 broth & 1/2 water as the recipe called for. If anyone has the first Oxygen Clean Eating Collector's Edition from January 2007, there is a chicken broccoli alfredo that is fabulous. I grate a little fresh nutmeg into it for BIG flavor. I do find that there are a few ingredients in the magazine that don't seem clean to me (Nesquick powder, pudding mix, & prepared salad dressings, for instance), but since I don't eat 100% clean it's not a big deal for me. My favorite part of the magazine are the snack ideas. That has helped a lot, since I love to snack!

OMG! I'm so glad to find this Team! I just started eating clean, then found "Clean Eating" magazine and bought my first one (at Wal-Mart of all places!). It has some really yummy recipes and I am a veggie, so sometimes I just modify for the foods I don't want. It gives you several weeks of meal planning, again some I don't like (I'll never like yogurt!) - but I take what I like and leave the rest. I like the idea of sharing the food questions here. I'll also help out if I can.

Thanks. I don't have the mag with me, but I will go make a list and ask the group if they can help.

What are some of the ingredients? Why no tpost them on a topic here and we can all help you - and maybe even suggest comprable replacements if they are not common ingredients!

Good luck! I am going ot buy the mag this week - I am excited!

Just bought the mag and love it so far. The only problem I have is I don't have a clue to what some of the ingredients are for alot of those recipes! Let alone how to find them.

I guess I just have to start goggling.

So now that people have subscribed and gotten their mags in - what do you all think?

And for the vegan and vegetarians in the bunch - you can always make recipies vegan by switching out the animal based products with vegan friendly alternatives (chicken broth with vegetable broth), etc. etc.

I don't subscribe to many mags, but this is one I would definitely like to add to my list.

Does the mag have a lot of vegetarian recipes or is it more geared at meat eaters? I am a vegan and am debating on ordering it but i want to make sure i will benefit from the mag. Let me know

This is so awesome! I didn't know there was a magazine too! I have the book and the cookbook and love them both.

I wonder if I can find the magazine at the grocery store?

Good job everyone! I hope this team stays active...I think the "eating clean" is the way to go and I am so happy to have found a team dedicated to it! emoticon

I received my first issue in the mail the other day. It says the recipes are easy and have easy to find ingredients. I live in the middle of nowhere and some of those ingredients I've never heard of.

Is the magazine appropriate for vegans or does it have a lot of recipes for meat dishes? I don't want to buy it if I can't use many of the recipes.

I got my first issue today! I like it. The pictures are nice, and the recipes look yummy. I have tried a variation of the chocolate pancakes that they list, and I LOVE it! I have served it for friends and family, and they can't tell that they are not regular pancakes. Fun stuff!
