No need to feel defensive and tell me to, " leave this topic alone etc". I think that it is logical to question a book that sells for almost $40.00 and tells you that a plethora of GI diseases can be " healed with diet". As an example, Crohn's and Colitis may respond to diet in minimal ways but without drugs the need for surgery increases at a faster rate. The latter is supported by pages and pages of double blind clinical trials. No doubt eating foods that one finds agreeable to the digestive tract CAN help alleviate symptoms. However, intelligent people who think logically DO question all kinds of claims extending to health or other areas of thinking. I have applied to receive some information from the site and will gladly look at it again. We are here to support eachother and not to get angry because someone legitimately questions a book or an idea.

There is way too much information to cover here. The book basically talks about how to combine foods properly to avoid digestive issues. It lists the foods that are good to combine and the ones that are not. She tells you when to eat them, etc. The website provides a lot of FREE INFORMATION and there is a link that the author directs you to that is FREE TO TRY OUT FOR 4 DAYS. I suggest that you take a closer look at the website. Otherwise, just leave this topic well enough alone.
Hi, Nice to know that the book helped you. Therefore it would be nice if you shared some of the information that was helpful to you and others so that we could learn about the diet without HAVING TO PAY TO GET IT. THERE WAS NOTHING free ON THE WEB SITE THAT I WAS ABLE TO ACCESS.
Hi; The website explains the entire plan and how it works. It doesn't say anything about curing these GI conditions. It discusses how to combine your food more properly to avoid acidosis and a lot of pain and discomfort. Yes, I agree every case is different for everybody. I think the author and creator of this diet plan is trying to educate us a little and that most people that have tried her plan had testimonies that the plan works and that most people, were able to get off their acid reflux meds. The creator also gives you a free 4 day report that you can try out on your own. I did buy the books and I found them to be very helpful. I've tried many other diets and found they didn't work for me, at least not in the long term. I was just suggesting to give it a try. There's no obligation on anyone's part.
Hi, I read the article on Gerd relief which included practically every GI disease. Most of the stories were anecdotal with no supporting evidence. Every case of Gerd is different. What is of interest in this article is that you have to pay for the book. I would be VERY wary of this kind of offer. We all know that acidic foods and other foods may give us problems. Diverticulitis is a condition where pouches in the lower bowel can collect fecal matter. This condition can't be cured but it can be managed by eating the right kind of diet that will encouage daily elimination. Many of the other conditions that were listed also can't be cured but can be managed. However, I am glad that you are feeling better.
Hi everyone; I was searching GERD relief and came across this link: http:\\www.greattastenopain.com and it's a special diet of properly combining foods developed by a woman named Sherry Brescia. She gives a free 4 day test drive, and I have to say, I haven't had any heartburn or acid reflux! Anyone who's interested should really check it out. It's supposed to be very effective for anyone with any digestive disorder. It might get us off all the meds we take!
