Got to listen to day 16 yesterday, and just finished day 17, Being of Service today. I did get in 18/18 yoga this morning, watched a video on Amazon Prime, yoga for fitness and flexibility, about 25 minutes or so. I woke up with so much more energy this morning than yesterday, so I think I really just needed a rest day.

I ended up skipping the gym on Tues, too sore, but did get in my yoga, 16/18, Finished days 13-15 Weds-Friday, and got in a self-guided yoga on Thursday before meeting with my trainer at the gym, 17/18.

I have not yet listened to day 16, will get that in today, and thinking about the yoga, I've just been so tired lately, maybe still recovering from an intense mountain bike last Sunday? In any case, all I want to do is rest, and that's not typical for me. So I'll just go with it.

Had my last practice in the studio for this month. Tomorrow in St. Louis, Friday and Saturday in New York and then September challenge will begin. Up to this point in the month, I have practiced yoga 21 times. It feels so good to have a regular practice.

listened to day 9 and 10 of the Chopra meditations on Saturday, and we did yoga outdoors in a grassy area at a pack station near Bishop. 14/18-sweet and simple yoga from yoga download.

Sunday was a long mountain bike ride, did not get back to camp until after dark. I forgot I hadn't done any meditation that day, so just did some self-guided breathing as I laid in the sleeping bag.

Today I listened to day 11-living kindness. did 15/18 yoga at the visitors center in Mammoth Lakes (they have a nice grassy area), gentle hatha yoga from yogadownload.

It was in the high 70's here at 5:30 this morning with thunder storms threatening and very high humidity. Thank goodness this morning the studio had electricity and the air conditioning was on. Still I was dripping at the end of practice. I love that my 10 minutes of quiet at the end of practice between savasana and meditation.

My Adamantine practice is not just about the physical and breath aspects of a yoga practice. There are four principles which explain the purpose of the practice and how to carry it off the mat. I use the acronym SING to remember them: Surrender, Integrity, Non-violence and Gratitude. Today I was aware of them all during my practice.
I have never in my life been a morning person, but for the past 15 months, I have regularly arisen at 5:05 to be at practice by 5:30 AM.

did the day 6 meditation yesterday, and day 7 today, feeling hope and feeling complete.

Did 13/18 self guided yoga at the gym between the elliptical and my session with the trainer, while listening to meditation music on my ipod.

I love the attitude int he previous post.... Thanks.
Nothing exciting in terms of guided self practice this morning except that my teacher complimented my skill in handstand, but followed with that I have lots of work to do on technique.

Lost 65 lbs and maintained since 2006.

I wasn't going to participate in this challenge since the month is almost over, but thinking that way has already enabled me to convince myself to skip yoga class yesterday and today, so that's not going to work! For the rest of August:

Yoga - class on weekdays, that means 6 more classes
Meditation- 15 minutes every day, that means 10 more sessions

Thanks for giving me a place to stay accountable!

........and a pilates dvd here at home....

We had a terrible thunder storm last night. As I drove to my yoga practice, I noticed that some street lights were just flashing and others were not operating at all. When I got to the building with the studio... no lights on at all. I approached the door and found the inner door that usually needs to be opened from inside was propped open. Luckily there were emergency lights in the stairway. I entered the studio to a lovely candle lit atmosphere for more than 3/4 of my practice. I was almost disappointed when the lights came back on.

Lost 65 lbs and maintained since 2006.

today felt like a challenge. It seems harder to motivate myself to do my practice when I am not going to practice with others. However, sitting in the car for 5 1/2 hours after made me glad I did my daily practice.

Had almost finished my practice when dear granddaughter woke up from a wonderful night's sleep after a busy and wonderful day of her baptism.

I agree, tasting fully is being mindful...and I think it helps prevent over eating, if one could really practice it all the time.

I listened to day 2 of the Chopra challenge yesterday, and day 3 just now, Finding Peace. Did 11/18 self guided yoga right before that, 20 minutes after getting back from the gym. I did my workout, but wasn't feeling great this morning (a little too much wine last night, we had friends over...) so the workout wasn't my best either! But I did it, better to do it than not do it.

No yoga today..... visiting DGD, DS and DDIL for Magnolia's baptism tomorrow. Busy today getting ready and just enjoying our beautiful and charming child of almost 8 months. However I did end up doing 8500 steps and 26 flights of stairs.
I also must say that giving a baby you love so dearly her bottle is a form of meditation.

Did my yoga first thing this morning...29 minutes of self guided practice. 10/18.

Punchie, I did get to listen to day 1 of the Chopra challenge yesterday, Finding joy. Planning on listening to day 2 next in a bit.

Just finished the OSHO challenge, with Zorba the Buddha, interesting to practice "tasting" food and drink to bring us closer to our whole selves.

9/18 last night before my training with a self-guided yoga at the gym, 15 min.

listened to day 20 of the Osho meditation this morning, about maturity. I'm going to see what Chopra meditation is still available and listen to that one next.
