Made my goals last week, daily meditation, and 4 yoga practices.

Starting out strong this week, I've listened to a meditation podcast (very relaxing) for marathon training (even though I'm not training for anything!) and did a 20 minute self-guided yoga with a very long savasana....

Well, last week I got in 6 of 7 days for meditation, I was able to meditate Sun-Fri, but missed Saturday, the day just got away from me!

I also only did the 3 yoga practices. We were backpacking Weds-Saturday, so it just didn't happen in the backcountry! No place for it really, and we were so high in elevation (around 11,000 ft altitude) that it was also cold and windy, so I didn't want to try outside.

I just finished a meditation from Oprah and Chopra, Living Agelessly, 16 minutes. Good way to start off the week!

So far I've been able to listen to a meditation podcast every day since I last posted. We'll be backpacking soon, so I'll see how that goes, although, that tends to be pretty meditative, being in the great outdoors and all!

Inner Tuning: OM the soundless sound, the sound of eternity, the music of existence. I repeat this sacred sound today, breathing it in and out, whenever I remember. At night, as I move into sleep I continue to silently chant the mantra so that it will accompany me throughout the night, and that it will be with me in the morning, when I awake.

6/5 no meditation...went on a long bike ride (7 hours) and just forgot!
6/6 started the day with a meditation podcast, 9 minutes about workout recovery. Should be doing some yoga too.

Tina, maybe not hearing is for the best with that interview, dark clouds sound ominous....hope some of the other applications turn up something better!

My apologies for not being more present in the team, my husband unexpectedly was in the hospital, so the routine changed. Now he's back home and so is the chance to post here and do my meditation and yoga.

June 6: 3/15 day 20 Carrying the sounds of this prayer of gratitude with me, I open to the seeds of auspiciousness flowering in my life today. I could see the benefits of meditation in the way I handled the emergency with my dh, more patience and clear mind. Glad to do my meditation today!

@KAYOTIC and anyone else interested, I never heard back from the interview I'd had on Monday ... this was some small office that really had its problems ... I am waiting to hear back, as I would be coming in to have to deal with the aftermath of the dark cloud over the business that had come before ... usually they keep that stuff shoved under the rug in an interview, but this prospective boss probably decided to save face only after-the-fact ... it cost me some interview time ... that's all, at this writing.

I have kept applying for jobs, I feel I got my second wind just by keeping my records of my jobsearch online as instructed to doin the past few days. And I could run over and get as many printouts as I want of the headersheets. ...

My goal is to practice yoga at least 5 times a week. I have begun the 6 week Basic Yoga program on doyogawithme.com. I have been practicing yoga on and off for several years, but I've heard that this program (no charge unless you want to donate) really gives you a solid foundation. I plan to go on after that to the beginner-to-intermediate program. What a great website!

Also, I plan to get in at least 15 minutes of meditation every day.

I have felt that way recently about a hatha yoga-modern dance fusion practice, YOGEA Artflow Yoga yogea.blogspot.com , but I gotta tell you ... I think their headquarters is in Eastern Europe somewhere - and not here in the big city where it's first catching on ... but I am taking it into my life and practice again when ... When? ... when my stress levels will abate.

The classes are held at the regular price, but there are fewer of them.

She now teaches Zumba in the additional time slot when she used to teach that class.

A lady from a contracting company phoned about a wealthy biocoastal corporate-employee client of hers, but who needs someone just temporary and part-time and not in a regular office setting nor with this person's ostensible "sideline" being an LLC, Inc., Proprietor, Partnership or anything like that ..., kinda "Upstairs Downstairs" from what I can see ...

I've been practicing yoga for 25 years, and Kripalu is located in my hometown. Local residents are fortunate to be able to join a yoga community provided by Kripalu for a nominal fee. I moved away several years ago, but have reconnected with the community this week during a visit. It reIgnited my passion for yoga. And oh how I missed it.

I know, not much physical yoga.

Please, also appreciate aspects of the Indian culture from which yoga originates... not just scripture or ecotours or visits to the Ashram ... but also modern song and story.

That this practice of this dance (and since I make it up as I go along, not sure how authentically Punjabi the movements really are ..) heals me more than physical yoga does is much irony.

my goal for june is to hope that my shoulder injury gets better.....I'll be doing Yoga classes and Pilates when I can...as long as the shoulder doesn't flare up.....and will do water aerobics on most other days....along with some home practice of Yoga....mostly restorative........that said, I did 50 minutes of water aerobics with water weights at LA Fitness this morning....

My goal is daily meditation, even if just 5 minutes of reflection. I'm going to set a week yoga goal this month, 4 or 5 yoga practices a week, self-guided, podcast or DVD.
