That's what it seems this team will do for its members emoticon

If that is the important thing for you.

It's all good. emoticon

What are your priorities as a team leader?

Mine is frankly, its membership and engagement of the members, keeping it going.

Nominally, posting.

I am not the most positive person, so I don't go all fakey-out on any of my teams, and appreciate give and take of the leaders (if I am a member) and my members (if I a leader) ... that is LIFE.

I'm a leader for another Sparkteam and I am aware of the SP features. I just didn't have time to keep linking the other post. Thanks for doing it.

Ok, I've been receiving some great tips/videos for NWB! emoticon Below are some websites with good videos.

Chair yoga:

e/beginner_day6 (Thanks Punchilouie! You are emoticon This one was TOTALLY doable although I had to keep my left leg elevated because my toes would turn purplish-blue if placed below heart-level)

Even SP has a team on chair yoga! http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/groups_
individual.asp?gid=32265

~~~~~REMEMBER:
Just don't stomp your NWB foot. If you're at toe-touch weightbearing, then you can rest your toe down. Otherwise, I've had to keep my entire left leg elevated for most of the exercises. Yes, constant leg lifting has made my left quad muscles firm and tight, but it gets very exhausting and i developed ITBS (iliotibial band syndrome on that leg for which I now have to do physical therapy for).
Thank you! I've not heard of yin yoga but it sounds like just what I need to help me regain a sense of composure and calm. I've been super stressed postop due to extraordinarily decrease in activity. Also now that it's a challenge to cook, we've been eating lots of restaurant goodies.
Can't wait till I'm weightbearing again.
We start physical therapy in 2 weeks. Yay!
Google yin yoga. Yin yoga is done prone or seated so there are no weight bearing poses. Also check out seated yoga. You will be able to appreciate many of the benefits of yoga with these options.
I am really missing my daily yoga practice a lot. Recently I had to undergo ankle surgery and am post-op two weeks. I'm not to be weightbearing on the operative leg. My orthopedist says I am not to do yoga until 4 months postop.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a series of yoga poses that I can still do on one leg only? I'd ideally like a series of poses that "flows" into each other.
Thanks in advance! emoticon
