"Love is all you need." ~Beatles
"Imagine." ~John Lennon
Nice way to write to be mindful, to be in the present moment and enjoy it! Myself I wouldn't lit a candle because I'm allergic to aromas and candle smell, but in my mind I could see the light and feel what is described in the text. It was a nice short meditation. Thanks CAROLJEAN for sharing!
Also TRAVELFAN thanks for the quotes, like CAROLJEAN the last 2 were my favorites

2)Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right.
3)People are so worried about what they eat between Christmas and the New Year, but they really should be worried about what they eat between the New Year and Christmas.
4)But can one still make resolutions when one is over forty? I live according to twenty-year-old habits.
5)One resolution I have made, and try always to keep, is this: To rise above the little things.
6)We spend January 1 walking through our lives, room by room, drawing up a list of work to be done, cracks to be patched. Maybe this year, to balance the list, we ought to walk through the rooms of our lives... not looking for flaws, but for potential.
7)Let our New Year's resolution be this: we will be there for one another as fellow members of humanity, in the finest sense of the word.
