1/30 26/21 day 16 of the Yoga Journal challenge, it went much more smoothly today! Had all my props, and no technical difficulties. The meditation is nice too, more guided than just the breathing, and very comforting, but it's about comforting yourself and feeling comfort and compassion for others.

1/29 25/21 day 15 of the yoga journal challenge, I had some technical difficulties, but got it going. I did have to pause at one point, since my blocks were upstairs, and I needed them for the practice. It's a restorative practice, a nice one too. The meditation was also very good, about compassion.

Jan 29: 13/15 day 12 Boost your Willpower, 23 min I filled the space when she was giving advice to achieve the pose with staff pose, mountain pose, warrior 2, extended leg standing forward bend to keep myself from jumping directly to the next pose, so this time I started the pose when she did. Meditation for after dinner. Before bedtime, 15 min Meditation, ready to sleep, quite relax...

HELLO everyone emoticon with your practices!!!! emoticon

Jan 27: 11/15 day 10 Boost your Willpower, 23 min and 20 meditation, I was falling asleep so I decide to stop, my breathing was really relax

Jan 28: 12/15 day 11 Boost your Willpower. I did the sequence non-stop, I was glad because I remember all the poses I finished at min 18, so I guess 5 min is what she takes to explain. 15 min Meditation, so far this is my attention span for meditation,the monkey mind is not so distracting, my focus is there in the breathing, but as I noticed yesterday the closer to 20 min my body starts "falling asleep", so relax and calm and my focus goes away . I'll keep trying to increase my meditation time.



Today Yoga Journal sent tho message for day 15:

"Due to an overnight server outage, Day 15 for Boost Your Willpower did not get sent. The technical error has been fixed. Please continue to follow the program for Week 2 and look for Day 15's email tomorrow.
We're terribly sorry for this inconvenience.
Yoga Journal"

Jan 24: day 7, Boost your Willpower 21 min and Meditation 15. I've improved since the last time, I kept the poses longer and my breathing was deeper. In meditation I was in a state of calm, feeling very relax afterwards.

1/24 20/21 day 10 of the YJ challenge, I missed yesterday, no internet and no time! Have not done the meditation yet, I have a massage tonight, so I'll try to do it there, or when I get home. I should be in a good state then for meditation.

One thing I like about the challenge, is they leave the practices up, so you don't have to do it on the exact day, and can pick up when you are able.

Jan 22: 7/15, day 6 Boost your Willpower, 21 min and Meditation 15 min, my breath was deeper, I could stay longer in the poses,my focus in meditation was easier to attain. I like both practices. In my mind the first thing to pop is health, to be healthy...ummmm. Buddha said:

1/21 18/21 started week 2 of the YJ challenge, with a 23 minute yoga, but I stopped the meditation after 14 minutes, since she breaks it into segments. 27 minutes was just going to be too long this morning! Maybe tomorrow,when I don't have to go to work.

Great Yoga practices!!!

Jan 19: day 4 5/15 YJC, 21 min and 15 min meditation,my focus continues to be HEALTH. Yes KAYOTIC hopefully my body will speed up the recovery. Today my body ached less and could be in the poses longer, the side stretch was quite a challenge for me, because due to the coughing the muscles from the ribcage hurt, however with locus, the twist and the last pose, I felt a relief.

Health is a great focus for the meditation, hope it brings you health, Punchie!

1/18 15/21 day 5 and 1/19 16/21 day 6 of the YJ meditation challenge, and the meditation following. This has taught me that I can do yoga at different times of the day, as I haven't always been able to get to it first thing in the morning, and usually that means I end up skipping it, but I've actually been able to do this practice 3 different days at times other than first thing in the morning, including today when I did it just before lunch.

Jan 16: 3/15 day 2 YJC 21min and Meditation 15 min managed to do both at different times of the day, my dd very sick and at the end I was exhausted so on Jan 17 my dh took over and I rested the whole day. I loved the chest openers in the poses(locus,twist and the last one)

Jan 18: 4/15 day 3 YJC 21 min and Meditation 15 min, much better, my body aches though but the chest openers were welcome and my focus during meditation was being healthy, hope it helps to speed up the recovery.

BRAVO to all for the excellent Yoga practices!

Being sick since my last post, I started the challenge yesterday, I like the pace and the meditation. My body ached so the poses were very difficult at first but my body eased at the third repetition, at the end I felt good. I'm glad I did, not sure if I'll do it tonight, I'm not feeling good. The flu really arrived to my home

1/15 12/21 day 2 YJ challenge, and meditation. It was a repeat, same practice all week, so I should become familiar with it. I did it this evening, which I normally don't do, but I was rushed this morning and didn't have time. I think I need to push myself to do yoga in the evening when I can, it's so relaxing.

Stacy, not sure about your video challenge, do you have high speed internet? Maybe it was just the time of day? I hear that can affect the speed and playback of video. Hope it works better today!

some stretching and myofascial release (20 mins)..12 minutes on the pilates arc.....and a yoga dvd (20 min).....to the gym tomorrow for water aerobics and a dip in the hot tub...and a sauna...

Hello everyone, thanks for your good wishes, back from Orlando, ready for some "resting" from my holidays, I walked 105K steps in my visit to all the parks in Disney World, amazing. While in line(quite many), I did some mountain poses, tree poses and so hum meditations to keep me going, very useful to make the wait" shorter", lol. The only drawback was my dd caught a cold and lost her voice on our way back, going to the doctor this afternoon. Many people were coughing and sneezing in the lines and because the line paths are narrow and in close areas, it is so easy to catch anything, many of them even didn't bother to cover their mouth, what a pity! What an adventure!

Besides Jan 6 and 7, I also manage 10 min of yoga poses on Jan 8, forward bends, seated forward bends,twists,crocodrile pose, baby pose,child pose, reclined cobbler pose, legs-up-the-wall-pose and savasana, 5 min of so hum meditation while in legs-up-the wall, not long enough to make it in the count though.

Next Monday Jan 14, the new Challenge: Boost your Willpower with Yoga will start, are you ready? I can't wait myself, I'm curious to know how this challenge can do that!
