The best yoga is the one that you actually do! The one that makes you feel energized, refreshed, and ready for the day is my favorite. I must have 40 dvd's that I rotate. I get on one dvd kick, then get bored and move to another. Or, I need something to wind down and stretch out, so I pick one for that. That's the beauty of it, you can choose based on how you feel that day.

I am not real experienced with a variety but I love Hatha for the restorativness and relaxation but I think once a week is enough. My instructor is a good friend and I have asked her to take us up a notch and we have just started a Flow class that I really like and hope to do two or three times per week. I like some intensity but I am glad that I started with basic breathing, relaxing, and stretching to grasp the full concepts of the practice. Some of the exercise DVD s turned me off. But true practice evolves. I have been experimenting and practicing almost 3 yrs now and still consider myself a newbie or beginner. I started my practice for emotional/spiritual reasons and just now considering it exercise or physical activity. But I do love practicing yoga!
