No, I haven't downloaded it. I may wait until I get my laptop (a promised gift from Larry, I don't think he's even picked one out yet though, so it may be awhile!), since I'm on a tablet, and not a lot of room or ease of downloading.

KAYOTIC Oh I get it! lol Thanks! It was interesting that you and I were doing the same practice, I still have to do the core and restorative practice though. emoticon for that bonus practice. 12/31 22/21 (bonus practice) finished out the Daily Yoga DVD with restorative yoga.

and 9 minutes meditation.

I just meant we were doing yoga at the same time (or at least we were doing the same practice!) therefore "simul-yoga"

Simul-yoga! Nice, yes, I liked the practice, and it's nice that it was a bit longer than the others on this DVD, since I had time this morning.

My meditation app has just a gong that sounds through the practice. It really lets me concentrate on So Hum or let my mind wander (which happens, but I try to get back to the mantra...)

BIGPOPPAPUFF sorry to hear about your foot, it's good to hear your doctor takes good care of you!!! I also think that with the excellent work you've been doing eventually you'll get the "green light" to walk more with special arch support, and NO surgery.. emoticon though

kayo....though close to me, my doctor prefers that I drive to the gym.....fallen arch and bad ankle on my left foot....I could do it but he says no.....

Yes, Punchie, the "moving to another level" was for my meditation app. It has levels, so it moves up a minute (so far) for each level. I think I'm at level 7 now, the first level was 3 minutes.

12/27 19/21, I did Vinyasa from the same DVD Punchie is on. I know what you mean about the flow in this one, it's not familiar yet, and I find myself turned away from the TV doing it, so I think I need to start facing the opposite direction, then I may be able to follow a bit better. It wasn't bad though. Got in 9 minutes on my app after.

KAYOTIC "familiarity breed comfort" you said that right, I was struggling with Vinyasa from the same dvd you are doing, not because it was difficult but because I'm not familiar with the sequence and I think the sequence is somehow off, (my take) or I'm used to follow other order in the sequence.

12/24 18/21 Foundation from daily yoga w/ Rodney and Colleen. I guess we were doing the same DVD Punchie, but I did the first practice. 25 minutes, and 9 minutes on my app, I graduated to the next level.

I liked the foundation better this time than the first time I did it. I think familiarity breeds comfort, and it's nice to focus on the fundamentals sometimes too. I find new ways of thinking about the poses, and new ways of being in them.

I have incorporated a little meditation into almost every day, and did the Deepak Challenge a second time. I too find the So Ham breathing helpful, especially if I wake at night with too many thoughts.

KAYOTIC I found that Meditation is very helpful, the focusing in so ham takes the mind away of "painful" or "uncomfortable" or "boring" situations, thanks for your words. I hope your restorative practice was GOOD!

Last weeks yoga included Karma Yoga Sunday, Slow Flow Mon, Gentle class & Slow Flow Wed, Slow Flow Thurs.
Tues was gym classes day, no afternoon (after work) classes offered Fri & Sat.
I was at the gym other days also and did some yoga mat work and stretching those days.

BIGPOPPAPUFF, thanks for your support, fortunately, thanks to Sparkpeople I could show my doctor all what I've done in the last 6 months (fitness and nutrition). You are doing an impressive workout, emoticon with your fusion!!!!

KAYOTIC good advice, I followed it! so ham breathing and the waiting time was like nothing, fortunately the blood work showed a good blood sugar control (A1C 6.6) and all the numbers for cholesterol and blood pressure, under the limits. The statistics and graphs from Sparkpeople impressed my doctor. With the dentist also everything was OK, more so ham breathing while the lady was doing the cleaning. I have sensitive teeth so I'm very jumpy there. Thanks for your support. emoticon with your Yoga and Meditation practice.

Dec 19: 13/21, 22 min Yoga Conditioning for Athletes, 3 segment and day 6 Chopra Meditation Mind and Body Odyssey, 15 min and so ham breathing at the dentist like 30 min

Dec 20: 14/21,15 my own practice hero pose, child pose, cow/cat pose, plank, side plank, cobra, hero pose again,camel pose, crocodile pose to rest after camel pose; so ham breathing in the waiting room at the doctor's office like 10 min

The past couple of days I have just been doing some gentle, restorative Yoga as I have a bad sinus infection and strep throat. I feel miserable but the Yoga has helped my aching. I'm hoping that tomorrow I feel better so I can do more of a longer Yoga practice.

yes, I love Will Rogers...I had another I really like as well, "Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there"

Flamn, you may want to add legs up the wall pose to your savasana. It may help that ankle!

We got in our first ski (well our first XC ski Larry's been downhill a few times already) this season, it was cold but good! We started a little late, since we had to go to a different area to pick up our passes, but we got over an hour in.

Flamen, maybe you could find some chair yoga, or seated work (maybe just some breath work) that doesn't involve any pressure or use of your legs. I know I have some restorative yoga practices that don't involve pressure on the knee or ankle. This may be a good time to work on the more meditative aspect of your practice. In any case, hope you heal quickly!

Yes, Punchie, that last one was with Rod Stryker. It's a nice practice, he adds some great relaxation at the end, makes it very easy to get to meditation afterward.

I'm out for the rest of the month. I slipped/tripped coming up the stairs last night. I know have 1 sprained knee and one sprained ankle and am on crutches. The good thing is that nothing broke, no ligaments or tendon tore, etc. Just some achey sprains. The doctor complimented me on my flexibility and strength. He jokes that my foot flexibility with a bad sprain was beeter than most people's with no sprain. Thank you ypoga and Pilates!
I'll be back in 2 weeks. Gotta ice and heat and take it slow for the next 10 days, at least.
