9/29 21/21 From Barbara Benaugh's yoga for stress relief, I did the restorative and deep rest practices, for a total of 31 minutes.

I got the Rodney Yee DVD too, so I will probably try that one today, and start the YJ detox challenge tomorrow.

KAYOTIC thanks for the advice, I'll do it. You know I'm afraid of heights,I don't know if that has something to do with my fear of floating, I've had this experience a couple of times, the first time was unexpected and I was like an observant. However at some point the subsequent times ,the fear to the unexpected made me stop the breathing and the meditation. I'll try the grounding and see what happens....

As is obvious, I am foregoing the September challenge... not too much yoga on trip... one lesson in Germany. But lots of walking, both in airports lugging bags, and walking with friends in Turkey. Check out my blog with pictures of the food we ate in Turkey.

9/26 20/21 did another podcast, internet wouldn't play the YJ challenge video, I will postpone those until I get home again, since I think the connection isn't really fast enough here. I did yoga for buns, lots of chair pose, which gives me trouble if I'm in it too long, guess I know where I need to practice!

That's funny that you said that about the floating, Punchie, the guided meditation I did yesterday with David Ji said that if you felt uncomfortable or anxious with the feeling you should ground yourself until that went away, and try again. So next time try feeling grounded if you feel the floating and don't like it, and see if you can stay longer with it.

KAYOTIC interesting meditation, it seems you are reaching a new depth. emoticon

SEp 25: 25/30 15 min my own again couple of Sun Salutations A and B, plus restorative poses, reclined cobbler pose, legs-up-the-wall, forward bend,bridge, child pose,crocodile pose savasana. In savasana I was also doing the so ham breathing for about half the time I was in the pose. Probably, I did for like 5 mins, very soothing, feeling like floating. When I feel like this I stop because I don't know what to expect,I'm still fearful of just letting go. Yoga practice like 15 min, meditation like 5 min

9/25 19/21 did day 13 of the YJ fitness challenge, don't recall what it's called, but it was a relaxing practice, same as day 6. Then I did a Chopra meditation that was 20 minutes long, really nice one, felt like floating or flying...both were really nice after my long hike yesterday!

9/23 17/21 Back to the YJ fitness challenge, did day 11 (I think) the "rock star" one, that was an upper body practice. I'm not sure I did the "rock star" part correctly, I keep ending up facing away from the video on the first side, so I just followed what he said, and still not quite balancing for more that a few seconds in bakasana, but I'm still trying! The interesting move that I hadn't tried before was the side plank w/ tree pose, amazed that I was able to pull that one off!

I watched the video in college video.com and to me it looked like he focus in explaining the opposite poses only, instead of having a sequence(s), this dvd was released on Sep 6,2012

9/21 cardio flow YJ challenge, day 10 (still behind) I like the cat/child's/downdog flow at the start, it's just a little different than I've seen in other practices, so I liked that. also trying to get back to the meditation, I did 4 minutes last night, and another 4 this morning....I'll see if I can get another in tonight. It's just been so crazy here with the paining, I've been working on getting the house back in order and missing that calming time.

Sep 20:20/30 I took a break from the Challenge today, I did 15 min restorative Yoga, also from Yoga Journal Calm,Cool,Collected, Seane Crow, and 8 min my own meditation so ham breathing, back to back, very soothing, late afternoon

Sep 18:18/30 Day 9 Fitness Challenge, Crunches I didn't feel like doing Yoga so I added warrior 1 and 2, triangle, extended forward bend, seated forward bend, twist, 21min the video plus 8 min my own. Punchilouie, I'm just doing what feels right---lots of forward bends. down dog, and holding the poses for a long time. I really don't know what's going on; I'm usually not prey to back pain. It's a drag.
