I got these links as a medical professional through a newsletter I subscribe to. Once the NIH latches on to something it usually lends credibility. Yea! Watch the video....

LOL - I also sent this to my yoga instructor. She was pretty excited about it..... emoticon

Thanks for sharing that article. Another medical healing capability of yoga: Boston's highly regarded Trauma Center finds yoga to be more effective than talk-therapy alone for healing PTSD. Go to the Trauma Center www.traumacenter.org/about/about_bes

and click on, in the left-hand column, "Interview: Yoga and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Integral Yoga Magazine, 2009. It's only 2 pages and I think it's amazing stuff.

I was first turned on to yoga by a physical therapist who recommended it to me to help my low back pain. It is fantastic to see that the medical community at large is catching up to this knowledge!

P.S. I want to get in on one of those scientific yoga trials! I wonder how you can be a guinea pig?

P.P.S. I LOVE the idea of inviting your doctor/nurse to join you at yoga!
