I probably wouldn't play tennis better.... however, I don't trip over my own feet anymore, a slight change in the sidewalk doesn't have me sprawling, my posture is better and best of all my yoga teacher says my body seems younger!
I shouldn't be surprised but I am. I reignited my yoga practice late last September. With the consistency I have practiced, clearly yoga has impacted my life in many favorable ways. Today I played my first tennis game of 2012. Oh, I play so much better! I don't think of yoga as mere physical activity at all. It holds me in the present. It ties what is inside with what is outside. In that regard, it has strengthened my propioception. I think these qualities have had a significant role in my better tennis. Anyone else astounded by yoga's affect on their athletic pursuits?
