Did you try Amazon Instant Video and/or Amazon Unbox?

You can try all sorts of yoga classes that you normally can't find elsewhere there, such as Feel Good Yoga Core Power (which I'd purchased from them, in DVD-R form), through either rental or downloading (for more permanent use ......)

I found a Bollywood workout video on there that I like immensely ...

I like the idea of directing new member to the forum or when the question is asked. I also think whenever we come across a great resource we should add it to the forum. Could you also place the link for the forum as a link on the huddle so people will see it. I am going to check it out now.

In YOGA INFORMATION FORUM there are two sticky topic called Books and Videos and Yoga Links. They have plenty of recommendations, unfortunately not everyone checks it out.

Maybe a different name could help? What do you think? or maybe we could guide the new member to that forum instead of answering one by one?

Thanks for bringing this issue to our attention!

We've had this question or similar ones several times. I wonder if there is anyway we can put together a list of DVDs, websites, etc. to share when this type of question comes up?

Having an instructor is the best option.

The Rodney dvd except the Power Yoga are for beginners.

You can watch of the videos in collagevideo.com, sometimes also gaiam.com have videos or amazon.
Check before to see what you like. I definitely like the way Rodney teaches.

Also you can check Jason Crandell in amazon and yogajournal.com

Thank you so much for all these wonderful recommendations, and also for the one to work with a teacher in person. That is important as well! I remember Rodney and enjoyed his ashtanga yoga DVD once upon a time, but I know that is too advanced for me right now!

Thanks for adding that, Carol Jean! Some of my greatest "aha" moments came in a private session with a great teacher!

In addition to the DVD's recommended, I hope you have an opportunity to work with a registered yoga teacher a few times. There is nothing like an educated, experienced yogi or yogini to help with your practice.

A good way to start (or re-start) for anyone who is not in top shape -- or for anyone on a 'bad' day, or anyone with pain issues -- is "Yoga for the Rest of Us" by Peggy Cappy. It may *look* less challenging, but will leave you feeling like you have worked.

BTW, we love our Prime account as well. I have used a couple of Rodney Yee's..Yoga Burn
A.M. and P.M. Yoga (2000) with Rodney and Patricia Walden,
This one looks like a good deal and the reviews are generally very positive:

Hello!
I really want to get back into yoga! I did it about 6 years ago and loved it! But now I want to get back into it. We love our Amazon account and I want to get yoga on Amazon. Anyone have any good recommendations for me?
