1)Who do you feel the closest to? My husband. He knows everything about me. Even when I try to tell him that he just doesn't get it, he does.
2) What was your most joyous experience as a child? Camping! Getting "lost" in the woods, playing at the lake, roasting marshmallows over the fire. I loved it. It seems odd that one of my favorite things as a kid incorporated my biggest stress-er: DIRT!
3) What offenses do you find the most difficult to forgive? Cruelty in it's many forms. I know that most forms are not deliberate, and there is always that level of understanding when something is taken out of context, but when people go out of their way to be nasty to something else, or their negligence causes others pain, it just makes me sick. Like Mr. Darcy: I find it hard to forgive the follies and vices of others; once my good opinion is lost is is nearly lost forever (or something close to that).
4) What do you regret the most? Listening to my inner mother voice as a kid. I wish I could have told my mother to shut her mouth and let me do what I want to do. I never went out for sports because I could hear her voice in my head telling me that I couldn't do it and it would cost too much money. I never took AP classes because I could hear her telling me that I wasn't smart enough and wouldn't be able to keep up with the kids who were clearly smarter than me. I never did anything because I could hear that woman telling me how I would fail.
5) Who inspires you the most? My older sister. She was never afraid or anything, and did exactly what she wanted and it didn't matter how hard it got she did so with grace and ease (though I am sure she was freaking out on the inside). She does so much for everyone around her and without making it feel like it's any effort on her part. She is no angel, but still, she is worth looking up to . . . still.
There is inspiration everywhere, find it and use it.
Keep trying, at least then you did more than nothing at all.
