Hi, I am sorry you are having to go through this difficult time with your Nana. It sounds like the last few years have been hard for her.
I hope you are finding the energy that is needed to keep moving forward. When my mother was ill, it oddly spurred me on to take care of myself. I guess somewhere inside we know that is what they would want us to do.
I am doing better this week with exercise (remembered to do my weight circuits yesterday and getting ready for cardio after I finish the Pilates). I also have to work on getting rest, that may be another reason why I am starting to crave wrong foods. Balance, balance, balance, huh?
I was also doing very good until my Nana broke her hip and had to be rushed into replacement surgery.I have been so worried that I am not excercising at all. I am fighting to give in to temptations of comfort foods. She is 87 and a strong woman, but since she lost her husband and two daughters in the last few years, it seems she would just want to give up. I am praying every day,and trying to find the energy to keep going with my goals, while she is recovering.
Wondering how our fellow team members are doing? Any successes or struggles of this past week that you would like to share?
Exercise has been my strong suit for the past couple of years but I have really slacked off these past few months. Busyness was to blame initially but now it seems I have just gotten out of the habit of regular daily exercise. Not good since we've finally hit the hot season greatly decreasing time to enjoy the outdoors. That is the challenge I am working on this week. The weather page says that at nearly 9AM it's just over 80° so I am going to go for it, even if I just walk for half an hour.
So again, I'd like to encourage any of you on the team to please stop in and let us know how it's going.
