There is no doubt in my mind that if I can do you can too! One day, one step, one calorie at a time emoticon

Have now hit two goals! Over one year of not smoking and am below the 150lb mark! Just hit my third goal, under 140lbs! 03/27/09 hit the 50 pounds lost goal!

Yeah I noticed we are very close in our goals!! Which is pretty neat, I am hoping that when I go do my weight in which will not be until next Friday that I have finally gotten down to the 150's would be too cool, knowing that I have less than 20lbs to go! Just need to keep on keeping and "Stay Focused" for "ME" emoticon

Good to see you back, hope you had a great time! Crossing my fingers for your weigh-in tomorrow, it may not be as bad as you think -- just don't eat anything too salty in the meantime. emoticon

Ok just got back a bit earlier today and did do a lot of walking and I think did pretty good with all the food etc! But my weight in is tomorrow at 11:30am so we shall see. If I just maintained I will be thrilled. But am not even sure if I feel like I did that. emoticon

Grace gave you some fantastic ideas, but you're going to Vegas - there's a lot of walking you can get in while there! That'll make up for a LOT. And everything in moderation. You know approximately what you eat normally and what calories you will find (approximately) in the foods you eat normally. You can ballpark it and track it like Grace said. You'll do fine.

I think we all worry about it a bit. I did when we went camping, even though we were taking all our own food, and I could "pre" track... I did fine even without knowing exact numbers each day(I decided not to pre track), simply by writing it down and ballparking.

Thanks a lot for the ideas and as you said I am sure I will figure it out/handle it. One way or another...here's hoping to a good way.

I'm assuming you don't have a laptop but who would want one of those on vacation anyway? LOL, well I knew a few who would but I'm not one. Nevertheless, I have missed my internet friends when away.

Maybe you could take a mini-notebook, and log your food choices and exercise. I wouldn't worry about the calories eaten or burned but just to see that you are making balanced choices and getting in some activity each day. After all, you do want to enjoy your vacation. And hopefully you will have access to an exercise room and/or pool.

For accountability, consider making a blog entry on your Sparkpage when you return home.

Just a few ideas, I'm sure you'll make a plan that works for you. :)

Ok hubby and I leave on Thursday for Las Vegas for his (69th) birthday to meet friends and have "fun" not coming home until Monday. I am really trying to get my head straight to stay focused on my Spark Plan..but will not have a computer to check in everyday so am worried. I have really done outstanding in my mind since I started and I don't want this trip to be the one to send me the other way! We really do travel a lot but think this trip might just be the one to push me.
