Fit for Life is an oldie but I sure learned alot from it, and have been a better fruit and veggie eater ever since. For a time, I even cut dairy out but now allow myself small amounts.

Totally agree, Katie. The library is still my favorite resource. :)

I've found a lot of books that are helpful, but none I'd recommend buying (other than the two I've mentioned). The library is great for these things...

I do recommend going to Whole Foods or another natural food store and looking at their books. The management usually has pretty good sense about having good books (versus fad and hype books) on the shelves. That way you can get a sense of what kinds of books you like. Then, again, hit the library.

I will definitely have to check these out.

I've found Anne Louise Gittleman's books very helpful. Right now, I'm reading the Fiber 35 Diet by Brenda Watson.
