As salam alaikum Sister,

Thanks for the reminder and encouragement. I'm finding it hard to get in enough water, but I also realized that the unsweetened herbal teas can count for the water intake. Another way to increase our water, is to reduce drinking other beverages.

For our team members, I modified our 8 cups a day goal down to six, and therefore you'll all have to re-join the goal in order for your intake to count.

Allah, swt, is the designer of our bodies, and as such He knows what is best for them to function. Let us follow His guidance and do what is best for our bodies.

Ma'a salama

Sister Winnie

MasyaAllah, I know water is great for us but reading those translation, make me believe more in the importance of water. So, come, sisters, let's us get our daily water intake and even in Ramadhan, it's doable :D

Surah 56: al Walqui'ah (English Meaning)

68: And have you seen the water that you drink?

69: Is it you who brought it down from the clouds, or is it We who bring it down?

70: If we willed, we could make it bitter, so why are you not grateful.

As salam alaikum sisters,

I've been slowly educating myself on fitness and health since joining SP. One major surprise to me is the huge benefits we receive from drinking enough water everyday. Supan Allah!!

Allah, swt, provided us with the perfect drink. I was not a water drinker, always having a soda. Over the past month, my focus on exercise has naturally reduced my craving for soft drinks and slowly, I have increased my intake of water. Isa, I will be posting small info's on the benefits of water, but first will start with a few quotes from the Qur'an (english interpretation).

25:53 AND HE it is who has given freedom of movement to the two great bodies of water the one sweet and thirst-allaying, and the other salty and bitter - and yet has wrought between them a barrier and a forbidding ban.

16:10 It is He who sends down water from the skies; you drink thereof, and thereof [drink] the plants upon which you pasture your beasts;

15:22 And We let loose the winds to fertilize [plants] and We send down water from the skies and let you drink thereof: and it is not you who dispose of its source-

Let us take the beautiful drink that Allah, swt, has created for us and use it to increase our health and fitness.

Ma'a salama,

Sister Winnie
