Well, I made progress anyway. I got down to 274. I wanted to lose 9 more lbs, but I'm happy with my progress.

16 lbs lost so far! See you all at the Labor Day Challenge!!!

Gluten-free since 5/27/2008!

I didn't meet my goal. I actually gained 5lbs. Bad choices... I am trying hard to get back on track.

I think that I can officially say that this challenge has been met!! My goal was to be a solid 14, and when I went to Wal-mart tonight I was comfortably fitting into size 14 jeans. I didn't get any because they were all too short, but they fit!!

Congrats on the "onederland" milestone, Cindy. You're making great progress!

Finally back to where I was prior to vacation. We will see where I end up for this challenge. I guess I need to go to the store and try on some clothes in my challenge goal size to see where I am. LOL

Well I got a suprise this morning. I've been avoiding the scale for a while because work has been insane, and I've really been bad about food, and exercise has been non-existent. Yet somehow, I lost 4 lbs! I'm not sure why, because I had hit a plateau while I was still being good, but it was certainly motivation to get back on track! Any ideas on my weird weight loss patterns?

I weighed yesterday at 199.5... I'm not sure if that is down from when I started this challenge but I know it's down from the last few weeks... No way I will get to my goal of 175 but at least it's moving again and in the right direction.

I'd like to lose 5 pounds by July Fourth. I am cooking a feast that day, so I won't be tempted to spoil any gains I make. I rarely want to eat much after cooking a big meal!

Glad to hear you're making progress, Stephanie! I'm a teacher and this is my last week of school. The end-of-the-year stuff has consumed my life - makes it hard to stick to my exercise routine. Hopefully, I'll be able to get back on track next week.

Thanks for the encouragement, Stephanie. It is a rough time of year to keep on track - tougher for me than the holiday season. I'm a teacher and I do best with my diet and exercise when I have a regular schedule. I need the break for my mental health, though.

Thanks for the congrats, Sumnerrain! I am trying to focus on the jean size goal and how I feel overall more than the scale. The scale still calls to me, though. I need to lose 2 more pounds to officially leave the "obese" category for "overweight" (that sounds so much nicer, doesn't it??) on the BMI scale.

I was bad, I fell off the wagon a bit and quit logging in, tracking my foods, and meeting my goals. Luckily I did not gain, but I did not lose either for 2 weeks. So I have 8 lbs to lose before I meet my goal on 7/4. Time to step up and start working those lbs off!

I'm down 1.5 pounds this week. I hope I'm finally breaking out of my stubborn plateau. Even though the scale didn't move last month, my 16s are falling off me and my 14s are loose. I guess my progress was in areas besides the scale.

OK vacation caused a set back - but I am going to get back on track and relose that weight and hopefully still show a loss from the begining of this challenge! I do know that I still fit into my clothes even with that 10 lbs back, thankfully!

Current weight 201.8 - I will return to onederland ASAP!!!

OK, I haven't checked in lately - bad! But everything else has been good. I have 13 lbs to go before 7/4! I'm at 278 now, and want to get to 265. That might be a little too aggressive. Heck, if I could be 270 by then I'd be happy!

I think a challenge is a great idea, and maybe it will help me keep motivated to exercise. I'm okay with the eating healthy part, it is the fact that I feel too lazy to exercise. Anyone have any ideas to make exercising fun and not a chore???

Well, it has actually been that time of the month for the past 2 weeks!! yup. 2 weeks. No fun! Maybe I'm finally feeling the effects of it!!! I'm just going to have a 0 carb dinner of grilled chicken and steamed broccoli and try and have a very active weekend... Thanks for the support and advice!!

JEN by any chance is it close to that time of the month? not to get too personal but in my experience (9 months on spark) I've recognized a pattern. The week before my cycle I get strong even uncontrolable carb cravings and lazy about exercising. If it is close to your time of the month... just try your best to keep your carb count low (which will help keep cravings under control)and keep drinking that water (it's key). Keep in mind you will have bad days but just try to do better the next day and get back on track. Hope this helps!

OK. I know everyone is just dying to know how lunch went ;) So I had a mushroom swiss burger, BUT i had a side salad instead of fries, so I didn't totally blow it.. still 500 less calories than the calzone would have been. crisis averted! hehehe

HELP! I need someone to re-motivate me... I was doing excellent, and now I feel like I hit my week 3 slump. I'm about to go out to lunch with a co-worker and all I can think about is eating a calzone. I thoguht if I wrote it down here, I'd be less likely to order it cause i'd have to fess up to you. I've also not been in the mood to excersie as much this week, but i've been blaming that on the cold miserable weather...Someone talk some sense into me PLEASE! emoticon

This is a challenge that I can do! I want to be at 220 by the 4th!!! I've been working really hard the past 2 weeks and lost a total of 12lbs already, so I think (no, I KNOW) I can lose 18 more!!!

Okay, I need a challenge, I've been stuck at this weight for several months... I'd like to be 155 by the 4th of July and exercising more consistantly

Like somebody told me before when the scale started to go up, you might be gaining muscle mass or you might've hit a plateau which means you need to shake things up.

I was keeping to my regiment and what I was suppose to be eating but the week after I gained weight, I alternated my caloric intake throughout the week and my weight started to go down again plus my body fat % went down.

So that's a thought.

CW: 140.6 Bodyfat: 30.0%

I am still going in the wrong direction! I went up to 198 today. I ran a 5K so I am happy with the weekend/week, since that was a huge goal for myself, but still, this scale needs to turn around.

Nat, I'm hoping for a lower weight too. The munch monster has finally gone away and I was down a little yesterday morning so I'm hoping tomorrow it's even a little lower... I was hoping to get some yard work done today but it's chilly and wet so that's not happening today.. Mark left for a week in Little Rock and I'm really thinking about painting our room while he is gone but I need to get it cleared out first.. Not sure how I can move the furniture by myself... I might be able to if I take all the drawers out of the dressers and move them empty. We'll see...

I'm in... The last time I reset my goal on here it gave me to June 22 to get to 175. I don't think I'm going to get there by then with the way my last couple of weeks have been so I'm going to shoot for July 4th. Matt's wedding is the 28th of July and I will have to be looking for a dress by then and I so want to be at 175... I want to look better then that &%*&^ of Matt's mother if she actually shows up for the wedding...

How is that for a sick twisted motivation?

I'd like to see anywhere from 165-170 and to fit comfortably into my jeans. I am squeezing into the 12s I have worn for the last two years, but they are quite snug and have been snug for the whole of last semester. I want to not avoid wearing jeans again.
