I did feel a lot of stomach pains and bad days when I started with the metformin. I did have a really hard time emotionally moody during the days I added the clomid. I'm starting to feel better with the metformin but I still am waiting for it to help me lose weight
Metformin as people said will likely give you an upset tummy to start. It's not fun but it passes pretty quickly.
Clomid, for me, was pretty bad. It made me very very weepy and irrational. Poor hubby had to be on guard for tears the whole time lol. The other effect that I had was a racing heart for the period of taking it give or take a couple of days after the last pill each cycle. The doctor said this was fairly common but needed to be monitored closely for obvious reasons.
Just speak up if you feel anything that is out of the normal in your experience and explain it to your doctor.

I only take Metformin right now because I want to lose weight before I add in Chlomid but my experience with Metformin has been to take it on a full stomach. I usually take it after dinner. Drink lots of water, keep your sugars down to a minimuim (or else you will feel it) and be constistent about taking it. The longer you take it the easier it is on you.
I've only taken Metformin so I can't offer any tips on the Clomid. As for the Met, it can cause some digestive upsets when you first start taking it. I seem to do better if I keep my carbs down. I also found that it doesn't make me feel as bad if I take it about half an hour after a meal. If I take it on an empty stomach, it makes me nauseous.
I'm kinda new to taking these pills and will be taking them together. Is there anything any one can tell me about this? Anyone who may have info that may be helpful to me? I'm just nervous about this and I've taken both before but only for a short time and never at the same time.... Please advise!
