Just wanted to take a minute to post and introduce myself. My name is April and I am 28 years old. I have had PCOS for years and it has gone untreated. I lost alot of weight on Atkins a few years ago and most of my syptoms got better and my cycle regulated like clockwork. I fell off the wagon big time and gained most of it back. I am not trying a low GI type diet and while this is only my 2nd day, it seems realativly easy to follow. Cutting out the bad carbs and allowing the good carbs seems not only healthier to me, but definitely easier. I am still learning about low GI diets as I go, I think the biggest con of this kind of diet is learning what to eat and what not to eat. I read the book: The new glucose revolution:living with PCOS. It had alot of information and I find myself flipping through it for reference all the time. I am also taking a multivitamin, chromium, and cinnamin supplements. I am excited about being here and finding other people that can relate to what I am going through! I hope to learn alot from you all.
