I know this is a late addition and a little off subject but just in case anyone stumbles across this. I had the same situation happen with low HCG. Women with PCOS sometimes have problems producing enough hormones to support a growing fetus my husband and I have suffered losses because of this. As soon as you find out you are pregnant you need to find a doctor and tell them you have PCOS. Demand if need be that they start you on the progesterone suppositories to keep the fetus growing. I've heard this working for other women but, I didn't find the right doctor until it was too late. But, this is our plan of "attack" for next pregnancy.

Exact same thing happened to me! The # values in Canada are different - and mine was about half as high as it should have been with my first HCG blood test, but when my doc had me rechecked, it doubled and tripled appropriately. I think us PCOSers may just start low, and go slow!

Congrats!! If you haven't already, you should check out the Fit and Pregnant Team!

Lost 65lbs in 15 months to get healthy and in top shape to try to get pregnant, and succeeded! Had our first baby in February 2013!

I only gained 32lbs in my pregnancy (and immediately lost half within a few weeks of his birth). April 1st is my full restart date.

Ok so I would really like to hear from anyone who has any input on my situation. Last month I had my first period after going on 1500mg of metformin. It was July 16-20. Well this month I have not had a period so on Aug 17 I took a pt (clearblue) and it said pregnant!!!! I was so exxcited but because I have PCOS I also was doubting it. So I went to endo and had a blood test done. She called me Saturday and said that I should be 3-4 weeks pregnant but my HCG was only 17. She said it should have been atleast 300-400. Well I am going tomorrow for another blood test. I took another pt test yesterday and it is still positive. I am also feeling dizzy and I am having stretching cramps and my nipples are sore. I feel so discouraged because I wanted this to be a sure thing. Also though when I got pregnant with my daughter according to the first day of my last period my due date was supposed to be July 4th but after measuring her they changed it to July 19. To me this shows that my body did not ovualte like normal so I am hoping that I just caught this pregnancy very early. Has anyone else has this happen to them?
