My husband just dropped his sample off at the lab today. I think that we will find it is A ok... we have been trying alone for almost two years. Now I just took my first round of clomid. All of my ovulation tests came back negative and so did the 100th pregnancy test.
I have had my estrogen level come back extremely high and my progesterone level come back extremely low.... everything else she said is "fine". I'm beginning to think that loosing weight is the only factor that's really going to make a difference so I am dedicated to giving this my very best shot!

Alan went in for a sperm analysis on Thursday. He got his results on Friday. What he told me partly didn't make sense so I'm going to re-verify his results when they call me about my blood results from Wednesday. I'm hoping I'll be able to start the Provera Monday or Tuesday to jump start a cycle. They did say his analysis showed no signs of cancer cells or bacteria (he had cancer in 2008.) I've been taking Pregnitude (a powder form prenatal) since Monday. Once this pack is close to being done I'm calling them back and prescribing something else. Pregnitude wasn't covered with my insurance so that was 40 bucks out of my pocket. All of the samples they gave me on Monday however ARE covered. Although I will admit its nice to just add a powder to water, stir, and drink vs swallowing another freaking pill.
I have an annual pap smear scheduled for July 3rd. I'm scheduling a hematologist apt on Monday. The RE wants blood work ran to determine if I have to stay on blood thinners. I'm hoping **fingers crossed** I can get back into see the RE before we leave for Vegas (July 19th).
Wow. I know that it's good to be getting some answers, but how frustrating to go from the one extreme to the other. I think a lot of doctors just don't understand PCOS and therefor make up what "sounds right."

WOW! What an appointment and all I can say is I want to strangle that OB/GYN in TX! Yeah I find it funny how “Your fine, nothing is wrong” has turned into “You have PCOS and metabolic syndrome.” She does the vaginal ultrasound on me and I have over 50 cysts on one ovary and 25 on the other!! Oh yeah but I’m FINE and nothing is wrong with me according to the quack in TX. GRRR….
Plan of action:
Semen Analysis has been scheduled for Alan for Thursday
Labs have been requested and I need to make an apt tomorrow to get those done. After the pregnancy test comes back negative they want me to take Provera for 12 days. She also prescribed Pregnitude which is a prenatal vitamin.
I need a referral to a hematologist to determine if in fact I need to stay on blood thinners. She said if I have to stay on them then I’ll have to take daily injections of either Lovenox or Heprin. I also need to get my medical records from my hematologist in TX and have those sent to her.
I need a referral to a gynocologist for an annual pap smear
She wants me on a diabetic diet and wants me to continue to exercise and lose weight
She said once everything is done (see above) then they’ll schedule a follow up to figure out the next step.
Lab work is scheduled for tomorrow morning. Waiting to hear back from my doctor's office on the referrals.
