Well, I joined the Easter Challenge on 2/2/07. It ended 4/8/07. So, in a little over 2 months, I managed a total weight loss of...nothing. In fact, I managed to gain, as of today, 9 pounds. I have lost and regained several of those pounds so many times I've lost count. So, as far as my goal of weighing 190, and getting my hair cut and colored...that did not happen. I would need to lose 19 pounds now to meet that goal. I did have to cave in and color my hair because it looked just awful, but I did it at home myself instead of going to the salon. It is in desperate need of a cut...but it can just stay in the clip that it's in.

Congratulations to all of you that met your goals, or even came close to them...or even managed to lose some weight or inches at all. I'm very proud of you for your progress!

Ok, my final Easter weight was 231 - not my goal, but closer than I've come before! Anyone planning on another challenge?

Katsmom1 - The virtual 5k was a challenge team for April 1st that's now listed as Virtual Racing. Everyone trained at home for a 5k race that we would all do on our own, and then post the results online. Some people did it on trails near them, but a lot of us did it on the treadmill because of the weather. We broke it up into age and gender categories, and all walked or ran the "race" on April 1st and posted in our specific categories.

It was a lot of fun, and a good incentive to push myself on the treadmill. I think we're going to be doing another sometime soon.

I achieved my Easter goal today, one day early!!!

My birthday is tomorrow, so it was really a birthday goal. I wanted to lose 15 pounds from the start of my diet & exercise program (March 1) to my birthday. I'm so excited I made it!!!

Time to get started on my Mother's Day goal, lol!

Wow, I'm really bad at posting on time... I stayed at 231 on Friday, but the good news is that I did the virtual 5K on Sunday, and made it in 61.5 minutes (walked the whole time, and my goal was under 70 minutes)!!

COngratulations to all the losers and maintainers. My Thursday weigh in was 212, somehow didn;t weigh on Froday, and this morning read the same. I bought my easter outfit this afternoon, a misses size large skirt and an XL top (inverted triangle, I am sure you guys understand). So even though the numbers didn;t change much, I am actuall yback where I was when I started this challenge, I am apparently doing something right.

Hi! Even though it is only 13 days until Easter, I'd like to join in. I just found this group and will go intro myself next.

I started my diet on March 1 and my workouts on March 4. I've lost 9 pounds so far, I weigh on Fridays. I am hoping to lose 6 more by Easter, which is also my birthday this year. I think I have a pretty good shot at achieving that goal, I've been very good with my diet change and workouts.

Yep...not only is spring break over, but we have put in a whole week since then! YIKES! where does the time go?

Anyway, still staying the same here, have done well in calories area, but have not logged much exercise this week. So that could be one reason... I pulled out those PCOS boos I ordered at Christmas time to re-read and see what I can tweak.

Morning everyone - Well, now that I'm officially over the flu, I got back on the scale today. Before I was sick, I had gained a few back, and was at 209.0. This morning, 1 1/2 weeks later, I was at 204. 5 pounds in a week and a half is okay with me. Now I just need to keep it going down, instead of the other way.

I'm back down to 235, after a week of gorgeous weather and being able to play around outside. (It's sleeting now, of course, but what can you do...)

I was also able to complete a walking 5k on the treadmill without having to stop for a break halfway through!

Well, I am still at 250...had a weird week though! I stayed in calorie range, but not the best of choices for PCOS and had gained back 4, but back down by weigh in...so ok I guess, but a wasted week huh?

Alicia - High sodium makes me bloated, and also seems to cause me to weigh more. I don't cook high sodium, but love Chipotle's (not very diety!) - which is high! Now I make it 2 meals vs one - butit is still high, even w/ eating 1/2!

What is weird is I drop...then gain a bit back over night (but never as high as the time before) and start dropping agian..so I never put it in...weird...even though I stay in range, I notice feeling bloated and such with food that is not good for us...hate it! such hard work...but I agree, that the slow and steady will stay off for the lifetime!

Alicia - I must admit, it really feels awesome! It is just a number - and I have been feeling "heathly" for awile, but really wanted to feel "official". Don't know if it makes sense, but anyway - I am happy :) Thanks! You have been losing more quickly than me I think. I really averaged 2 lbs a month - but I am so OK with gradual loss! I think it will be easier to just keep up slow loss or maintaining because I don't really feel the need to food indulge!

Don't remember if I have said it here... Fiber 1 chocolate/oat bars have been helpful lately! They taste chocolatey - almost candy bar like (at least for a gronola like bar) - so satisfy that craving I get w/ 9 grams fiber, 140 calories. I recommend them!

WE can folks!! Don't let temporary set backs keep you from getting healthy and don't beat yourself up all over the place. That is a dead end road. Positivity! If you blew it yesterday say " Today is a new day with no mistakes in it." Only you can decide to pick up the glass of water or get off the couch. So find your reason... Then move for today. Don't look at moving for the next two weeks straight... Move for today. accomplish a little each day. I KNOW you can do it. Eventually all the "littles" add up to a surprise. You can conquer this.

Because I am worth it.

Back up to 238, which doesn't seem right. I've been really bad about exercising because I've been sick, but I didn't think I had that bad of a week otherwise. It's coming up on that time of the month though, so I hope this is mostly water weight!

Well I at 240... which is a lot better than I thought I would be since I took a long break which included lots of soda and other crap!

I have begun taking the stairs and trying to add extra steps whenever possible. I'll have to get me a pedometer to be sure I am getting enough steps.
