i'm on mononessa, which i believe is a brand name of sprintec. its working extremely well for me in regards to regulating my cycle. i'm also on a bunch of other stuff, including metformin, so i can't say which med in particular is helping me lose weight, but that number is going down. its probably a combo of all of them, but i definitely didn't have any weight gain when i started it.

Good to know! I hope that once I'm on it for a while longer, the weight will come off and I'll be more hormonally balanced. The last 4 months I've been all over the map in terms of how I feel emotionally and physically. I feel more normalized now though than I was a few months ago.

Good luck to both of us!

My doctor said that with Sprintec the weight gain is from water and goes away after 3-4 months. I also drink ginger root tea to prevent water retention. You just boil some fresh ginger root for about 7-10 minutes and your set. I'm glad to hear you didn't have any other side effects though. I hope he's right and that you will just lose the weight once your body adjusts :) I am just curious if it will help the hormone inbalances. I guess I know when I get tested in a few months.

I'm here to lose fat not weight, weight loss is just a side effect :)

I started Sprintec 3 months ago, and so far I think I like it. My doctor originally put me on Ocella but I had horrible side effects from that one so she switched me to this. It has caused a little bit of weight gain but overall I'm happy with it.
