I was dx with PCOS back when I was just 13 years old. So, that is 16 years now of having it. I have had a lot of challenges with PCOS. One of the biggest things for me has been acceptance. However, what's interesting is that in 2004, I was also dx with MS. I find myself more comfortable talking about my PCOS to people than my MS. In fact, I rarely mention having MS to people unless I am having a noticeable flare up (I have been in remission now since 2007).
Anyway, I just wanted to say hi. I am a 29 year old librarian. I have switched my attitude with PCOS and have made my goals to focus around getting shape instead of losing weight. I'd love to lose weight and I with me getting in shape- losing weight will be an extra present. :)
