It's very small, and I think that can be both good and bad. Everyone definitely knows everyone else's business and a lot of the kids think they need to be somewhere bigger, but it's a very supportive place when bad (and good) things happen.

I had to share my story today. It was our last day of school. I received an anonymous typewritten letter containing 2 $100 bills telling me to use them for Jacob. I teach in a very small community where everyone knows our story and said numerous prayers for us both this fall, but I never expected anything like this. I can't even thank the person because no one in the office had any idea where it came from. Our secretary had it laying out on her desk all morning. She didn't know where it came from either. Today our school also donated more than $1000 collected for a family whose barn burned down this fall. They lost all of their banners they had won for their champion animals over the years, and our FFA made them new ones. I must say that I live and work in a truly great community!
