Thanks gals for the positive feed back. I am learning as I go, so talking to each of you really helps. If others like me out there have done it, like the two of you, then so can I. And congrats to both of you on your weight loss. I know it takes time, but look at far you both have come. Thanks again. Ya'll take care and keep up the good work.

I lost about 10 pounds when I went on metformin (I was already exercising) and went from no ovulation to perfectly normal ovulation and a pregnancy, so yes, it's possible. I've lost about 50 pounds since then, and most of my PCOS symptoms have improved tremendously.

Welcome April! I am losing weight slowly, but losing. Also, since exercising consistently, my period has been more regular (30 days - 7 weeks vs 5 weeks - 5 months) and sometimes the PMS was slight, but lately, it has been as bad as it used to be. I am disappointed with that! Anyway, drink lots of water, cut out those empty calories, make good food choices, and exercise! It may be harder for us (I don't lose at the recommended 1-2 lbs a week, more like 3 lbs a month) - but slow losing is better than gaining or maintaining!

Good morning ladies. One of my online friends I just met told me about this group. About a year ago I found out I had PCOS. My doctor wants me to lose weight before I get pregnant, but my sister says that will be a challenge with PCOS. I guess she's right because I worked out at the gym 3-4 days a week for about 2 hours each day,for a 1 1/2yrs (before I knew I had this), and only lost 10lbs and toned up. I'm sure my yo-yo diet was partially to blame though. How do you have this problem and lose weight? And by losing weight will it make you start obvulating, because I currently do not, and I have to take prometrium to have my monthly. Thanks, April
