Welcome it is always nice to have new people join us. At least we all understand the frustrations of PCOS and it makes it nice to have the support to keep us going!

Welcome to the PCOS board! Glad that you found us. How fortunate that you've been blessed with 6 children! :)

I understand about doctors dismissing PCOS. I had that problem a lot at first (mainly because I don't fit the typical PCOS mold, although I know that there isn't really one!). I found a fantastic woman specialist in Philly that was finally able to help me in regards to PCOS.

Welcome once again, looking forward to getting to know you!

Hi, I'm a recent diagnosed PCOS-er. I thought i would find support with others... I think mine got overlooked for so long because I have six kids. We are practicing Roman Catholics and we do not use Birth Control, so I sometimes wonder if I'd have much fewer kids otherwise, because my oldes is almost 20 and my youngest is 2, the range is quite wide with many years of not being able to get pregnant. But usually a doctor would dismiss PCOS because of the # of kids, then a nice doctor, a woman, actually took the time to listen to me, and she took some blood tests and sure enough I have PCOS. I'm on Met now. My dd's have coined the sydrom, the ugly disease ~ facial hair, pimples, and fat woo woo... LOL
