i've noticed this as well. i started getting them when i was put on metformin. as i got used to the metformin dose, they went away.

prior to that, i'd always been cold.

Hot flashes are hormonal. I have not hear that they are PCOS related though, that would be intersting to find out. I went into Peri-menopause at 38 and that's when mine started.

I think it's totally hormones! I notice a huge decrease since my doc put me on my new birth control, Yaz!

I too, am gonna say that it must be related, because I am always on fire. Even when everybody else has several layers on to keep warm I am sporting the short sleeves, no coat and flip flops. It is only on very rare occasions that I am ever cold.

Same here...I wake up sweating sometimes and complain about being hot when everyone else is cold. Seems like it's more in the morning than night though

I'm 18 and have been getting hot flashes since I was 12(when I started my period). I definitely believe that they're PCOS related.

Since I haven't come up with anything that helps - does anyone know if hot flashes are PCOS related? I'm only 25 so menopausal is out of the question, but I do have PCOS and I was thinking they could be connected due to hormone issues...
