I was tired of this after a couple of weeks and a couple of pounds! I can imagine how you must feel-LOL! Seeing other people like yourself who have persevered and are headed towards reaching their goals keeps me going.
When I'm in a slump no matter what it is related to, I have the urge to shake things up. Like when I can't seem to get the motivation to clean my house, I move things around- furniture, lighting, accessories. That way things aren't the same old boring way every day. I just did this in my kitchen before I went grocery shopping and it really helped...I cleaned out EVERY cabinet, threw out expired stuff, donated stuff I won't use, and got rid of clutter. It made me feel like I was starting with a clear head and a blank slate.

wow 60 lbs is amazing... i have been doing this whole healthy business now for a little over 2 months and have only lost an unnoticeable 10 lbs so, I totally can relate to the unmotivation of being healthy...I can only tell u what everyone tells me... stick to it ... and I hear that Dolly Parton allows her self two spoons full of whatever she wants... healthy or not. Anyway enough babbling... keep up the good work!
Congrats on the 60 lb weight loss. What an amazing success! Do you schedule rewards for yourself when you meet specific goals? That always helps keep me motivated. Something simple like with the next 10 lb. weight loss you will treat yourself to a new piece of clothing or pair of shoes, whatever makes you happy (shoes always do it for me!). Then when you get through that 10, you realize it wasn't so bad and that you can keep going for 10 more.
Thanks for the encouragement! You all are doing awesome work as well! I guess it is also the fear that I will gain it back, I am just in slump. I just hope I can find the motivation! I am also trying to get pregnant and taking clomid to do so, and it makes me crave sweets SO bad! I feel like an animal:) And by the time my AF hits, I am ready to eat everything!! Overcoming these hormonal evils is KILLING me! I just need the determinnation like when I started! I just have to learn to accept slumps as part of the journey............:) Thanks again!
Congrats on losing so much weight! That is awesome! And yes, sometimes I do get tired of doing it. Sometimes I take a day or a week off just to gear up again. But I do find it easier to keep going and feel better about myself when I do. I find I get tired of it when the weight loss slows and I am frustrated. Keep up the great work!

I know it is hard at one point I was 400 pounds and lost 150 that was 6 years ago...then I took a break and just maintained my weight...now I am ready to lose the rest..there is nothing that says you need to do it all at once...healthy habits are hard especially when the most people don't practice them....part of it is mind set when you make a permanent change you have to realize there is no going back
I have definitely felt like that before. Since you have had such great success thus far, you need to keep your head up! Look at some old pictures of yourself and think about how the changes you have made by eating healthier and exercising is adding years to your life. I'm nervous about the holidays too (cookies are a HUGE weakness for me) so I know I really need to keep the exercise going through the whole season!
Hi all! Hope everyone is doing great! I have been on spark people since march and I have lost 60 pounds total. I have about 60 pounds to go.....but do you guys ever feel tired of living healthy. That you are just burnt out!! I want to keep going but I have been having a really hard time lately and with the Holidays coming....oh boy, I can see it being bad. Any suggestions for second wind motivation??
