Welcome! You do sound like a typical PCOS patient. I hope your endo visit works out. Both CATIATM and I have had trouble finding a good doc to listen.
Make sure you take lots of information to the endo for your visit. Print your SparkPeople nutrition and fitness trackers. That really helps show them what you're doing. Otherwise, they'll send you off with a dismissive "eat less, exercise more" statement.
And post to the team with questions! There is a lot of good information here.
I have yet to be diagnosed - but I am 99 percent sure I have pcos... HORRIBLE anxiety - missing periods only started getting periods with an herb at 26 yrs old(Vitex) and the atkins diet which I lost 120 lbs - testosterone level higher than a man - HAIR!!!! everywhere it shouldn't be... Am working on going to an Endo doc sometime this month... I am in hopes with proper meds I can regulate my hormones and diet better. I diet perfect for 2 weeks then pms for 2 weeks - it is horrible... My herbs and low carb diet does seem to help - when I stick to it - since getting pregnant and having my son 3 yrs ago PMS is bad and DIET is horrible to stick to while pms is hitting... Also fertility probs - OF COURSE.... Only diet and herbs helped me have my Larsy....
So far this is all self diagnosed. You tell me do I fit the description... LOL
