I used Yasmin for a while, and I too suffered from Migraines. I actually don't use anything now, but will be going back on BC soon, and I am going to ask for YAZ.
The worst for me was the Nuva-ring, which was very disappointing. I hate taking pills everyday, and loved that I only had to worry about the ring twice a month. But the migraines I would get during the "out" week were the worst I ever had.
I hope the YAZ works!

Yes, I made the switch from Yasmin to YAZ. I suffered from migraines 2-3x a week. I went from one doc to another about my migraines and no one could figure it out. I researched Yasmin on the internet and found it causes migrains. My OB switched me to YAZ b/c of lower dose hormones. I do still get PMS migraines but not as severe and only during TOM. My acne is under control and I haven't had any spotting or irregularity, except I didn't have a cycle one month wh/ is normal.

I have a Birth control question. I have been taking Yasmin for 5 years and I have had no problems. My periods are very regular and much more under control. However, my mom was recently diagnosed with estrogen positive breast cancer so my doctors want me to switch to something lower estrogen. I also get menstral migraines, so they think it will help with that too. Yaz has been suggested to me. I tried to take it in the past, but I only stuck it out for 2 months and the irregular bleeding/spotting drove me crazy so I went back to Yasmin. My acne has recently been going crazy so Yaz was suggested AGAIN, and I am thinking I should give it another go since I didn't even try it for a full 3 months.
Has anyone used Yaz, or made this particular switch? Any advice or comments?
