I'm thinking everyone is so quiet because of classes, work and personal life? I'm Steph by the way. Maybe there's something we could do to rouse the rest of the members?

Hi Sara, Caitlin, and...ABLE413? (couldn't figure out your name from skimming the page, sorry if I missed it somewhere. lol). I'm Gwen :) I've been gone from SP for a while but I'm back now. Mostly, my problems are vending machines and junk food from the cafeteria. Especially with the vending machines, it seems like I always have coins in my backpack and they're everywhere. I'm never that hungry, it's just a habit. I have to find more ways and time to work out...I love Zumba, but I can only make it to the Saturday class, so I'm basically just exercising for an hour once a week. And I'm trying to come up with a way to motivate myself, too.

Sorry it's taken so long to respond... it's been quite busy. I had gained a love for working out, I actually yearn to work out (even on rest days or days when I'm physically unable to exercise). I've especially come to love strength training and circuit training.

If yall are up for sharing... why don't yall share a positive result of your weight loss journey so far, aside from the numbers on the scale. One thing I've loved is breaking the habit of overeating. Granted, I cave every once in a while. Who doesn't? But I love walking away from a meal not feeling overly stuffed. What about yall?

I feel like I did good all week, worked out 5 times and tracked my food. But the scale hasn't budged in 3 weeks :-( it's definitely lowering my moral to stay motivated.

I just got over being sick, I threw myself a small pity party for about a week too. I hope you start to feel better. I'm just tired, I worked 10-5 and just got home from a night class, I'm trying to motivate myself to go to the gym for a bit.

Hi, I'm here too, recently joined the group and haven't really explored it. I could use the extra support from a team too. I recently got married in the summer and between work, school, and being a wife sometimes it's a little hard to keep motivated. How are you both doing?

So for this weekend, I know it'll be a challenge to stick with my diet plan, so I'm telling myself that if I can make it til Sunday, I'm gonna put money toward a new watch I've wanted! Does that sort of stuff work for you?

I definitely understand what you mean, I think we all have some cosmetic reasons on why we are motivated. Plus it just feels amazing to accomplish something. :)

Wow, I'm so sorry to hear that. But way to go and picking yourself back up! You definitely deserve the goals you're seeking!

My motivation started off as weight loss for cosmetic reasons. I put on weight my first year of college and I hated seeing it in pictures. But now my motivation has changed to just creating a healthy lifestyle for myself. Also, I really want to reach my goal just for the sake of accomplishing something. I want to feel success, you know?

Haha, yes. It keeps me quite busy but I love it. :) Thank you! Probably my lowest point was when I gained 65 lbs after my best friend's tragic death (my lowest life point). I have bad moments where I just get severely down and missing her, which causes me to lose motivation. Thankfully that doesn't happen all that often.
An up is probably right now in my life, having all this motivation and yearning to lose weight is helping me a lot. I've done really well this year so far. :)

The major thing that I do is make up or borrow other people's challenges each month. I'm doing the 30DS right now and then I'll move right into a squat, push-up, and sit-up challenge along with cardio.
Right now I'm motivated by the fact that I'm the maid of honor in my friend's wedding in October and I'm engaged as well so I've got my wedding coming up within a year, and I want to look gorgeous on my wedding day. :)

I'm the exact same way, the weekends are horrible for me. I'm really far from my goal still but I'm working on it. My goal is to lose about 40 pounds this year and I've lost 4 pounds so far.

It was going well until I hit the weekend. I usually do pretty well with counting calories during the week, but on weekends we stay out later and wind up eating ice cream or French fries or a pack of oreos. O.O scary... So I'm trying harder to crank up the self discipline. Other than that I'm 7 lbs down, 8 to go! Yay! I'd love to reach my goal by spring break. How about you?
