I tend not to really listen to music quite as much when I workout these days, but when I do, it's usually something with a steady beat, to keep me on track. Anything with a varying or difficult tempo tends to throw me off.
Many Blessings!

I have learned that anything with a good beat is good to work out to.....However if I am in ab bad mood so heavy rock is always the good thing....but mostly its the upbeat country....

Great topic! I'm always looking for new songs to add to my playlist. I like running to pop and electro. Here's a few songs that always get me pumped:
Better Than A Stereo Dream (Stereo Love Mashup) - Kapslap Obsession- Sky Ferreira Better Than Her- Matisse Where Them Girls At (JRowe Mashup)- David Guetta All Night Long (Ellie G vs. LMFAO)- 3LAU
Enjoy :)

I love listening to Run the World by Beyonce whenever I need to get motivated. It's a fast beat and the lyrics just hit it right on the money. "Who run the world? GIRLS!!!"

I usually listen to upbeat songs, especially when I'm running. I can't keep a good pace if I listen to slow songs. Listening to audiobooks sounds interesting though. I remeber last summer I read on my nook while on the treadmill. It was a bit difficul but I was able to zoom in on the words so it was a lot easier.

I use to listen to music when I was at the gym, this would be a lot of Pink, Lady Gaga, etc, the faster paced top 40 songs, essentially. However, now I listen to audiobooks! It's a GREAT way to pass the time. I started with Harry Potter in the middle of January and now I'm already on the 4th book. I don't know what is going to happen in a few months when I finish all 7! I'll have to find new audiobooks to check out from the e-library!

For running, I like most tracks by Darude (ie. Sandstorm), Linkin Park, Disturbed, Skillet, and various high-tempo hip hop or pop songs.

Most songs by Pendulum ramp me up ... some Paramore, TaTu/Natalka Karpa, Miyavi, Gackt, and if I could get di.fm running on my droid I'd just use that because techno/trance always gets me in the mood for running.
I think I've finally come to the point in my life where I'm happy with myself and know that I don't have to change or be a certain way for people to like me anymore. I'm just fine and if someone doesnt think I am, screw them. - Anon -

I love hip hop and other Top 40 songs so here are some that I like to workout to:
How low can you go- Ludacris Independent- Candi Redd La, La, La- Auburn My Chick Bad- Ludacris No hands- Waka Flaka Flame Wobble-VIC
I have a million others but those are some good ones to start with
I get a lot of my workout songs from this website. You can enter the pace you want to go and then pick the songs you like to add to your IPOD. It really does make a difference. I started running 10 minute miles just because of the upbeat music!

Hey everyone! So I know that starting to work out sometimes seems so difficult and hard. It is not even the exercice that stops me, but the fact that I have to spend a couple hours doing "NOTHING". I have learned over time that MUSIC can help a lot when going to the GYM. Not only does it ENTRETAIN you but it also PUMPS you to do more and better workout. I would like to see if we could share out favorite SONGS for working out so that we can create a PLAYLIST of the best songs to carry on out MP3 when going to the gym. Also keep in mind that the BEST songs for workout are those between 120 and 140 BEATS per minute. This can be an interesting article when creating an exercise playlist: http://lifehacker.com/5622382/creating-the-ultimate-exercise-playlist So, go ahead and SHARE your FAV songs and GOOD LUCK on your JOURNEY girls! :D
