I'm slow roasting a Prime Rib and will do popovers instead of a traditional Yorkshire Pudding- DH doesn't like the pudding. I'll also do redskin mash with roasted garlic and a green salad with a homemade vinaigrette.
It's just the two of us this year as we just moved to a new state this summer.
My mincemeat is all vegetarian. Lots of carrots and apples. Mixed peel and other stuff. I love it. I am finding this to be very interesting. I love the food varieties that you have going on. Fantastic.
We're going to try and deep fry a turkey this year. Just need to buy the oil and get a fire extinguisher. We do a seafood dish on Christmas Eve too, and we haven't figured that out yet. We're having some friends over on the 23rd for nibbles. Rather than mince tarts - I'm going to make a flap-jack granola base and cover with mince tart filling. More like bars. Lot less fat, lower Gi rating, and comparably super quick and easy. I've made a bit of pate and will some candied pepper nuts too. Not low fat - but nutricious.

turkey, goose or a three bird roast we have`nt decided yet ther will be me, hubby and 2 more all adults i do`nt really care it is my day off, i cook for myself every day of the year, so christmas day i sit down wiith a glass or two of somthing and every one else tdo the work. i have made a christmas cake, ithas a drink of brandy once a week, i will ice it next week, i must confess ihave`nt made any mince pies this year i have bought some instead, it works out cheaper

Turkey for me and my daughter. I'm thinking about having curly noodles instead of potatoes I suppose I`d have have spagehetti sauce. The veg will just be peas maybe some carrots added. No stuffing because she doesn`t like it and I don`t want to make it for one (me).
