I looked for a stir fry emotion but I didn't find one. Stir fry is what is for dinner mostly because it is fast and won't take too long to cook since it is so hot weather wise.

SOXYINMO when I started reading your post Chicago dogs I was thinking what is the difference between dogs that live there and dogs that live elsewhere. Then I read further and realized that you are talking about hot dogs something to eat.

I freeze in one lump and not a silly question actually a very good question. It is re-freezable so when I am ready to make a pie I take the whole lump out unfreeze it take what I want and throw it back in.

PERFECT PASTRY 1 lb lard (tenderflake is best) 2 Tbsps vinegar 2/3 cup water 2 eggs 6 cups flour dash salt
Mix lard, flour, sugar and salt. Add rest of ingredients. More flour may be needed. Mix until workable. Use what is needed and freeze the rest.

I made a big pot of Middle Eastern Red Lentil soup, and added some steamed kale to it. Yummy, spicy, satisfying.
I'm also making my spaghetti squash casserole, which has onions, cheese and Greek seasoning. I'm also adding steamed kale to this.
We're huge kale fans here and even though we live in SE Wis., we can still use the kale out of our garden, because kale has a property that makes the leaves resistant to freezing outside. I picked it this morning and shook off the snow. Very cool...

Tonight isn't going to be low cal or low fat. I've had a craving for kielbasa and pierogies so I'm stopping by the Polish deli on my way home and grabbing some. I'll cook some cabbage when I get home.
