That was a hard loss to swallow. Really thought we were going to pull it out! Looking forward to seeing the offense next year with DG having more experience and seeing what we can accomplish with more of a passing game!
"Oh hold tight cuz the road can be a crazy ride And I know that we're going to be alright Because you are here with me"
Back to TN a little while ago. Tough loss! Looks like we had a 50/50 mix of fans showing up at the game. Our team, MMB and fans did us proud. I think we showed the SEC that the BIG 10 is definitely relevant. (You hear quite the contrary opinion here in the south.) I talked with one Carolina fan after the game who expressed real admiration for our team and indicated he felt fortunate they pulled out a win.
We arrived in Tampa mid afternoon....(hate to tell you this) to find sunny skies and temps in the low 70s. Much nicer than the cold and snow we drove through in the mountains of North Carolina on our 12 hour drive to get here. My car is coated in salt spray....quite the contrast to the other vehicles in the parking lot.
Went to the parade tonight....looks like the Gamecock nation turned out in force. I'd say we're outnumbered two or three to one. Hopefully, we'll see more blue at the game tomorrow! Heard the "SEC, SEC, SEC" chant during the parade.
Hope we prevail tomorrow and start the new year on the right track. We can do this!
Just heard that 3 players have been suspended and will not be playing in the Outback Bowl. J.T Floyd, Haggerup, and Hawthorne will not even travel to Jacksonville. Pretty bummed out but glad that Hoke sets a good example and makes it about following team rules and sets a good example.
I decided to bite the bullet and go for it....don't get to see Michigan play live very often. My wife and I'll drive down 2/3 of the way on 12/30 and then get to Tampa in time for the parade on 12/31. We're going to a party at the aquarium on New Year's Eve. Then the game on the first at 1 pm. We'll be in the nosebleed section. We opted out of the "official" events to save some money. We'll be staying at places that are much more affordable.
We'll probably split up the drive on our return, which means we'll get at least part way into Georgia after the game is over and then drive the rest of the way home on Wed. so we are both ready for a return to work the next day.
It's a lot of driving, but it'll be a tad more exciting compared to most of our recent New Years.

Sadly no...I wish we could go, especially since it's gotten cold here in Northern Michigan. I could handle some fun, sun, and football. These last few Saturday's have been rough with no Michigan football.

Lord help me remember that nothing is going to happen today that you and I can't handle together.
