Yes, on water. No on carbs. It's just been a tough month for me, and I'm ashamed that I started something, but failed to follow through with a full commitment. I'm ok with trying for next month. I do think we should reward the winner with a spark goody from each contestant.

Hi MORGANPARK, I am a stress eater too and it is why I am slower than the others doing the same plan on loosing... but emoticon just keep on pluggin... I had stalled for 2 years no matter how much exercise or low cal/carbs... also it is easier for me I live by myself on disability so don't go anywhere not tempted by eating out - no funds for it.. and just tell my self when running errands - if I did not take food- that I have food at home... night is the worst- afternoon is a close 2nd and I can be full - but I just need to munch... some days great- some just ok - others not good.. but there is tomorrow :0) I am battling tonight - so drinking warm green tea with stevia - so far its holding off - not always emoticon

I know my food intake is driven by stress, and that I'm an emotional eater -- which is a whole different story. On the upside, I have been running a lot. I've been on a downfall lately, and I think -- know that it's emotional eating. The last three days were emoticon . Today was emoticon . My water intake has been emoticon . OK. now that it's out of my system, I have 14 more days to make it right.

Carbs affect blood sugar which has an effect on mood. Too many causes your blood sugar to peak and crash which can lead to irritability, anxiousness, nervousness, drowsiness, etc. Spacing carbs out is important and they should be high quality carbs. The best are low glycemic.

Great questions HG511. Carbs are tough. Should be managed for sure. We need them or we run out of energy. 100 or less per day won't work for me, but they sure can be a source of concern if not managed.

emoticon are we to consume less than 100 carbs daily even when it is not a challenge? I am new to this, but know from my past that carbs on any diet have always been my downfall. It has always been what I crave, breads, noodles, pasta, you name it, if its a carb it was on my plate.

I now am finding other foods that I crave and want more, and to my surprise many times its a salad or fruit, even more protein than I am use to and I feel so much better. So I got to wondering, do carbs alter ones mood? I feel more calm, more relaxed and happy, and my carbs daily intake is so much better, only a few times did I go over this week the 100 carbs, and yet I still kept it under those 2 days of 155. I think I'm making progress, please share.

Had all my water (96 oz. us my usual intake of water) - Had 78 carbs today - a little more than I like, but I did eat some kettle corn this afternoon... that pumped it up, and it really wasn't all that good either. Don't have any more here!

Ok. So here's my deal. I never can make my water goals because I realize I drink mostly seltzer water. No sweetner. Does that count? Should it? You be the judge.

Carbs -- YES! Water -- No, but if I can include Seltzer water --- Yes.

I hope I'm not suppose to be the example, but I totally suck when it comes to getting 64 oz of water. Today, I've had 18 oz so far. I'm going to guzzle 17 now. Fingers crossed that I'll get to 64 today.

64 ozs is the water challenge. I hope you'll join us.

Here's my stats for the day. Eating did well. Fewer than 100 for sure. As for water, it's 10:15 p.m. and so far I've had 50 oz, but better than I've done in a long time. I'm going to try for 12 oz before bed. We'll see.

Yay me!! Off to a great start.

OK, so I've noticed that some of us have fallen off the wagon, and I'm hoping to motivate us all to do better. I need a jumpstart, and to be accountable. Please joine me.

Here's how it will work. At the end of the day, check in with a thumbs up emoticon or a emoticon emoticon or any way you'd like to communicate about whether you met the goal of 100 grams of carbs or less for the day.

Your water intake will also be counted. The goal is to drink 64 ounces per day. You can use emoticon emoticon or again anything that symbolizes water. You don't have to use emotion cons at all. I'm giving it as an option for those who may be time crunched. The point is just to check in each day with a note on how you're doing. Write it, emotioncon it, whatever -- just check in.

Weight. The person who loses the most weight will receive a goodie from each participant. The first post -- as painful as it may be should be your weight. The last post on April 30th should be your weight.

I'm trying to make this as simple as possible. Ready, set, go.
