I went to one here but was kind of disappointed as ours was not what I expected. Lots of home stuff for sale, very little gardening stuff. Maybe that is typical for my area. I thought they would sell lots of garden related things like plants, books, decor, yard art, etc.

I did go to the local home & Garden show today, it was really nice - not that I would do or could even afford to do about 90% of what they were showing, but it's always fun to look around and see what's out there. I did buy a small bottle of blackberry balsamic vinegar and a small bottle of oil with garlic/parmesan & rosemary. Picked up a couple of catalogs on "how tos" but otherwise came home empty handed.

It was nice just to go and see something different for a change - oh... also picked up a booklet (free) on weeds of Western Oregon... (Now I'll know that if I want a garden, I can plant weeds... anything else I seem to kill.) :)

I love garden shows. I'm the queen of the downward spiral so I need to stay on plan. LOL.

I know exactly how one "little" stray leads to another... too well.

Have fun at the show!

I also got out my "Art & Science of Low Carb Living" for a little refresher... Had a bad couple of days that have caused some issues, I'm back on program today though and full intentions of staying this way.

Seems like one little stray then leads to another and another!

Our local home and Garden Show is this weekend at the Fairgrounds, I might go down there tomorrow morning and look around..... (not that I do any gardening, but it's fun to see what other people do).

Yep, induction/phase one works. LOL.

LOL! I didn't even think about induction. I kept thinking I just need to start leaving out the white food group again... I DO need induction because the carb cravings are driving me to binge!

Totally back to phase 1.

emoticon to the team! I can relate to your story! For me it was mindset to follow induction understanding that cravings/temptations at first are natural and will go away shortly. I tried to ignore the present and look to the very near future of how great I would feel (and I do!).

You definitely will need to start from scratch. Once you get through the initial detox phase (phase one, induction, wave one, etc.) and the cravings are gone it will get better.

Been there 'n done that too. Had a hysterectomy tossed in as well. Menopause and weight loss - not a good combo. I finally got so disgusted that I went on an extreme weight loss program with my doctor back in August. Doing well so far and doing it without artificial sweeteners. I love shopping in the closet in the computer room now. Good luck finding your groove!

One step at a time: cleaning out the pantry, stocking back with only appropriate foods and just pushing myself to get back on track. emoticon to the team!

I used to be a die-hard low carber... was literally afraid of things like sugar and flour LOL!... I lost 57 lbs, felt great, ...then slowly I merged back into the high carb life... don't know how... it just happened. Now I'm back up to a weight higher than ever before and having a heckuva time getting my low carb groove back. Is there anyone else here that's been there and back again? How did you get your groove back?

Thanks!
