Wow, that really is amazing--and appalling! Not sure I'd consider the sugar alcohols to actually be sugar, personally. I use some xylitol and erythritol from time to time. Maybe it's a matter of whether or not they're metabolized. Thanks for the eye-opener!

I was irritated when I learned that the HFCS manufacturers wanted to change the name of it because people were on to what garbage it is. And their commercial where they tell you it is just sugar, like this is supposed to make you feel better about it. LOL.

Yeah, I agree - that's why I posted this list because I found it shocking and I had never even heard of some of these! Not everybody wants to eliminate all sugar but for those who do, it's a real challenge when there are 246 different names [at least] that might show up on the labels. Makes ya think, huh?

Good grief!! I'm a nurse and I even learned some new ones. They are quite adept at sneaking this crap in our food, aren't' they???!!!!! It's disgusting.
