Congratulations on tossing the malt balls! I find malt balls too delicious.

I've never gotten sick on candy. They sound gross to me.

I threw them away. I got sick eating them last night and hubby thought it was funny. I don't need that kind of grief.

Maybe you can give the candy to a neighborhood child instead of throwing it away. I don't like malted milk balls and have never seen these.

I admire your honesty and I hope that you will come to forgive yourself if you haven't already done so. Most of us have certain "trigger" foods and it can be a challenge to avoid them. my trigger is homemade chocolate chip cookies fresh from the oven!). Stay the course of healthy eating and never look back!! emoticon

Everyone has moments of weakness. Some foods are craving triggers. Sounds like malt balls have that effect on you. They certainly are not worth night sweats and severe hot flashes (nothing is worth a hot flash! -lol).

Throw them out - now. Carol emoticon emoticon emoticon

This past week I did myself in by buying a yearly treat for myself. I bought not one, but 2 BIG bags of the candy coated chocolate malted milk balls shaped like eggs. It's something you only see at Easter time and last year I didn't buy any at all. I really shouldn't have this year either as over the last 7 days I've eaten almost 3.5 lbs of the candy. The 2 bags total 4.5 lbs and I might have 1 lb left. If it's more than that I'd be surprised. I get started on them and eat til I literly make myself sick from the sugar. I've put the rest up in a cabinet out of sight but I may end up throwing them out so I won't be tempted to finish them off. As long as they're in the house, I know they'll be calling my name. I never should have bought them but I did it during a weak moment. Normally I don't buy candy as I have severe hot flashes and night sweats from eating sugar. So you can imagine how I've been feeling this past week. Anyway, I won't be buying them again and I will probably end up throwing the rest away so they aren't calling to me. Hubby won't eat them as they hurt his mouth. Anyway, I won't be eating sweets the rest of the month so hopefully I'll see a big change in my numbers by the end of the month.
