We don't have Krogers around here, but if they carry them, the noodles will be in a refrigerated section with the tofu and the vegan fake meat. Most places that carry them seem to have House Foods brand which is made with tofu. In addition, my local Whole Foods carries Miracle Noodle and a brand called NoOodle (yes, that's with three O's.) www.nooodle.com/ which are pure konnjac flour.

The stuff's expensive, so I'm looking into making my own.

I've seen Shirataki at my local Kroger and at all the local health food stores.

I use them in several ways: Add to shredded, white cabbage to make a large bowl of "pasta" with Marinara or Bolognese sauce
On their own with stir-fried vegetables and protein of choice
In Chicken "noodle" soup

My only advice/2c's worth: Make sure to rinse before using, or the flavor can be a little "off!"

I really like these a lot - like some have said, make sure you rinse them very well. My family loves spaghetti, and I use these in place for mine so that we can all enjoy the "same" meal together. They also are good with chicken and an alfredo sauce. Hungry Girl has tons of good recipes that use these. In my area, HyVee carries them in the "health foods" section, and Trader Joes and Whole Foods have them as well.

I have not seen them at Kroger. I would assume they would be in the specialty food refrigerator section if they have them. Some Wal-marts carry them in my area.

the good thing is that they come in a small package (technically two servings but personally I eat the entire thing) and run on average about 2.19. So IF you did wanted to try, it isn't too brutal to toss it (versus buying a case which the Miracle brand originally was only sold online and by the case).

And on that note, I am currently eating my angel hair with a TON of veggies and diced up chicken thigh...lol.

I also detest waste and hate to buy something I won't use.

Thank you all for your replies and support.

We just recently had a grocery store called Publix in my area. I saw the noodles when I went grocery shopping there. In fact, they have several items for low carb living. I just hate to spend money on something new and then finding out I just can't eat them and have to throw them out. I realize that by changing my lifestyle, I need to learn to like a lot of new things, but I hate to waste the money (and food) anyway. I want to try them, just not sure about them.

I am going on You Tube as one suggested and see how to prepare them and what to use them with.

They arent sold at walmart type but more trader joes/whole food...or if you have a store with a natural/asian type section. They are refrigerated to normally along with the tofu.

Have not seen these noodles in our local grocery store. Any ideas where they might be sold? These noodles sound too good to be true!

I still have not tried them either but I'm not a pasta lover like most people.

I love them too and it's nice to see some of the stores carrying more variety (shapes/flavors). I stir fry or I use them as a "base" - ie cook up some veggies and a couple poached eggs on top of it all.

I need to work up the nerve to try these!

As far as "pasta" is concerned, I'm a big spaghetti squash fan.

I love them, you have to rinse them very well, the preservative they use has a smell. They take up the flavor of whatever you cook with them.

I love stir fry's. Go on YOU TUBE and look them up they have lots of videos that are very helpful.

I've noticed that many of you talk about using these noodles and I've seen them in the grocery store. How do they taste? Do you like them? And, what or how do you use them?

Thank you for your honesty!
