I like to use it for making pancakes so they dont stick.

Isn't it funny how all of a sudden you can look down at your stomach and wonder to yourself, "Who put that there"?

I have that book too, I love it. emoticon I massage coconut oil into my face at night before bed and use it as an eye makeup remover. I swear my face has never looked better!

I put a tablespoon in my coffee in the morning.
I use it on veggies and Oopsie rolls.
I put it on my hair once a week, covered with a shower cap, and sleep in it.

My son puts it in his smoothies.

I get the Nutiva double pack (54 ounces each) from Amazon. So far, the best deal i"ve found. It does have some coconut smell....very light....I haven't noticed the taste in my foods and I'm not a huge fan of coconut.

I use coconut oil for anything I would use oil for. Except in a salad I'll use olive oil if I'm not doing blue cheese dressing.

I also use it for a cuticle softener too and on my hands and feet sometimes. (Not the same jar of it I have in the kitchen tho).... emoticon

Expeller pressed, That's it! emoticon

I have to say though that I used to strongly dislike coconut, but now I love the fresh, light smell and flavor of the extra virgin coconut oil. You never know if you might develop an appreciation for it, especially once you learn about all the amazing health benefits of it.

Expeller pressed is odorless and has no coconut flavor.

I buy both expeller pressed and extra virgin and use one or the other depending on what I'm cooking.

Good organic extra virgin coconut oil does have a mild coconut flavor, sometimes noticeable and sometimes not. It's very mild, so it depends on the recipe. My family hates coconut, but I use coconut oil to saute veggies, bake with, fry eggs, just about everything, and they love it all except the eggs---they don't like the eggs in coconut oil too much, come to think of it, lol. But they love the sauteed veggies. I pan-fry meat in it too and it is really good! You can get organic extra virgin coconut oil that has had it's flavor and aroma removed---I wish I could remember what that's called when they do that---but I personally don't like to cook with it much b/c it has no flavor at all.

A great place to look for more info on the use and benefits of coconut oil is tropicaltraditions.com

Does coconut oil make your food taste like coconut?
What do you use it for?
