I hate entering recipes as well. It's a lot of work.

-American consumers have no problem with carcinogens, but they will not purchase any product, including floor wax, that has fat in it. - Dave Barry

-The food here is terrible, and the portions are too small. - Woody Allen

Never mind! I've found some sort of major error in my kidney bean info, although I thought I entered it right. Gonna go back and try to fix it...and control my blood pressure!

OK, I did the recipe, and for some reason a serving is coming out at over 700 calories and 113 gr. carb. Can't figure out what I did wrong. Don't know if I somehow mixed up fluid and weight ounces, but it made 48 fluid ounces and I divided this by 8 oz. servings and got 6 servings, which seems to be about what I have. I'll look at it again, but something's not adding up right. I've had no problem doing recipes in the past...I know I didn't just eat that amount of calories and carbs...

Thanks. I kinda figured that was the case. Since this is such a simple recipe, I think I won't make it public and therefore not feel obligated to list amounts of spices, since I don't really measure them anyway and just keep adding till I think it tastes right! At least the ingredient list is pretty short...

Unfortunately you do need to put all the ingredients in, I have put some recipes in and then saved them so I could put them in my tracker. Maybe wait until you have the time to sit and put it all in.

I'm not really sure myself. Have you looked into using it as a recipe and using the Food Calculator on the Recipes Start Page? I have been meaning to use that but, have not as yet.

Let us know what you find out.

I've just made a meat-heavy beans-light chili that I will be eating for several meals. In order to track this, do I have to go through the whole process of creating a recipe or is there a shortcut? I have no problem entering the different components, measuring the final outcome and dividing into servings, but I get weary just thinking about figuring out all the spices, herbs, etc. I know I don't have to make it available to the public, so I suppose I could skip those ingredients, or at least their quantities, but do I need to make it an actual "recipe"? I'm suspecting I do, but if anyone has any tricks to save time and energy, I'd much appreciate it.
