Regular fish should have no carbs. If they ware saying they had 5g of carbs per 4oz serving, they must have some sort of sauce or something, or the package is mis-labeled.

Shellfish and crustations (clams, scallops, shrimp, lobster, crab, etc) DO have carbs in them naturally.

Also, avoid the imitation crab... its is very high carbs!

Ocean Eclipse 4 oz single serv packets. I threw them out, and got some cod filets.

They did say something about CO treating .. but tilapia was the only ingredient.. I ate some a month ago, and they have no coating or anything.

I have a package of Tilapia filets in my freezer and I just looked on the label. They show ZERO carbs.. These are just "naked" - no seasonings, no coating or anything. So the ones that show carbs must either have a coating on them or they've been marinated or something. It's my understanding that fish as a rule do not have any carbs in them. I'd guess there is something else there.

They were bare, but had 5 carbs per 4 ozs... I went to store and got cod fillets.. I have low potassium anyways, and cod is loaded .. so I am having a lb of cod for meal 3. This lowers me to 79 net carbs, and ups me to 171 g protein. Also allow me to stop eating bananas

I will get a replacement and either give these away or toss them out.

As far as know fish do not contain carbs unless they have been added in some kind of brining or curing process.

Ok.. may go back to store and check labels.. these were three 4 oz packages in the back of the freezer, and I was looking for a lower carb alternative to turkey burgers on a bun.. if I have to I will just eat the burgers without bun, but I would prefer some fish, now that I have that idea in my head.
