I'm finishing the binding on a queen size and trying to get photos organized to upload to my ETSY shop. I have nothing listed and lots of selling opportunity. I have an x-blocks quilt in the works that uses 2 sizes of x-blocks creating a flower design. Its pretty and I thought a lovely gift for my mother-in-law who is in a nursing home. Carol

I am working on a baby quilt for my grandson and also a star quilt for my son's girlfriend. I have so many other quilts in the works at the exact same time though. I also have a Christmas quilt I've been working for months. It's kind of my "go-to" project when I don't really want to do anything else. Then I have 2 quilts I am working for the new camper we just got.

I have finished the Bonnie Hunter mystery quilt, well the top needs borders still. It is 84 1/2" square now and will be 96 1/2 with the borders. I need to get something for the borders or it would have already been finished. I am now looking at the most economical way to finish it all up.

I'm working on cleaning up my sewing room but it isn't going too well as I keep stopping to sew. I have lots and lots of projects in work. Trying to finish one UFO each month. I've been doing BEE in my Bonnet row along for the last few months and I am two rows behind. FInished one yesterday that had been waiting. She posts every other WEd with a new row so I need to catch up but the two rows I have left have soooo many tiny pieces, I dread them. I discovered that I could hand sew those tiny pieces while watching TV and finished the Mitten row Friday. And enjoyed the process. cArol

I tie off a lot of my quilts, otherwise I would never get them all done, I love hand quilting most. I'm currently finishing a quilt for my newest grandson,It will be his second one because my son liked the way I finished his first sons quilt better, I failed to add Devyns name and birth date on the first one, although the first one has a label it just wasn't the same. Like I needed a reason to make a second one.

That's so awesome that you do that. I looked into either that one or something very similar - unfortunately I don't know how to machine quilt the tops of my quilts yet - I hand tie and the one I looked into mentioned no hand ties...something I will keep in mind as I get better. It's a beautiful thing you are involved in.

Currently working on a jigsaw pattern quilt. I am a true beginner - it's all squares and rectangles - but I have alot of fun doing it and it's a huge stress release for me. I'm at the stage that I have 48 nine inch blocks done and need to sew my rows together....

Hi Barb.
quiltville.blogspot.ca this is the link to Bonnie Hunters Blog. When you get to her site go to Easy Street! title at the top and this is the Mystery Quilt. They are on part 7 but
I have only completed part 1. Just make sure you print out the instructions and then you can go at your own pace. Each part has quite a few pieces to make.

It will be fun to see how each of us is doing. Let me know if you choose to do it.

Need to get started on the frog cover...as my 3 year old grand daughter calls it. She is still waiting for a quilt made with frog fabric that she picked out back during the summer! LOL. She was with us last night and she grabbed my frog quilt and said, "Gram...when you gonna do my frog cover? I still waitin!". Decided then and the that I will be starting it this week! LOL. Nothing like a three year old to make you feel guilty!!

I am working on a twin size quilt for my 5 year old grandson. The center is a panel with an elephant, lion, and monkey in the center. I have put 3 borders around the panel and in the corners I put an off white block with an animal appliqued on each (elephant, lion, monkey and giraffe). Half done with the quilting and then trim and binding. Hope to give it to him on Thanksgiving.

I have some lovely 6 inch Kaffe Fassett flowery squares and I'm still trying to figure out what size circle (biggest) I can make with them.

The plan is to applique them on my black and grey background fabric squares that I am sewing in strips. The circles will look like flowery moons staggered over a night sky or a garden in the night.

I plan on using interfacing or white fabric to sew the circles, turn them rightside out, then applique them so the grey and black won't show through the circles.

This may not make any sense at all - but I can see it in my "mind's eye." I'm trying for a queen size quilt.

I have been working on a Merry=go-Round quilt made with the 1930's swap material. I'm really a beginner quilter and misjudged my abilities when I started the quilt, so it is going slowly. Each block has 24 pieces with lots of lines and pointy things to line up. It is taking me about 75 minutes to put together each square if the smaller triangles and rectangles are already sewn. I have to keep ripping it out and redoing it. I'm learning alot from it and will post a picture. This week I finished a Batik Turning 20 quilt with stippling, and have just started a very simple 4-square child's quilt for the Linus Project. I work on the merry-Go-Round quilt, and then reward myself by working on an easier project after I do a certain amount on the more difficult piece.

I'm loving the Craftsy BOM, as it is my first BOM quilt, and because the video classes are great! Also making lots of little things...just finished camera sleeves for my daughter and myself, made a loyalty card holder for my sister, and just got a pattern for a purse with changeable covers I plan to make for myself soon. Also working on a quilt for my daughter - the block pattern is a triangle on one half, with the other half strips...don't know what you call that ;) She chose fabrics of different colors with large white polka dots - should be cute.
Also doing a nine-patch swap, so LOTS on the table :D Just the way I like it, so I can choose what I'm in the mood to work on!
That wedding sounds awesome!

A beginner's quilt album (which means it's small) ;)

I was working on a quilt for our daughter and made a slight error. I didn't cut the blocks down to 10" so it is now slightly bigger than planned. I am waiting for her to decide on the backing.

So......

I started two Christmas items. A Grinch quilt for my hd that he doesn't know about and a fairly large wall hanging. Great fun!

Hi everyone.

My current project is the 10 inch 1930s fabric swap. I've found a good patttern for it. It is called Summer at Mom's. A free pattern I got somewhere. It is all pinwheels and a border of half square triangles. With a vine appliqued on the border. Having fun doing it.

That sounds awesome to me. I love it when people break with tradition and do things their way. I bet people will be talking about it long after the traditional weddings are forgotten.

Bev, you would love the wedding that a cousin of mine attended Saturday. It was in a barn in Delaware. The bride arrived on a tractor wearing cowboy boots and a white dress. The groom and groomsmen wore bluejeans, cowboy boots, white t-shirrts with the sleeves cut off and vest made out of John Deere Tractor material. The bridesmaids wore yellow sundresses! They said it was different, and HOT, with no air conditiong. Carol

Right now I am working on a quilt for our daughter called the Garden Arbor Quilt. It is so nice when I am supplied with the pattern, and material to support my habit even when it will go to her. LOL

I really want to get started on some Christmas items. Quilted advent calendar, table runner and a few other themed things.

Looking forward to hearing what others are working on.

what are you currently working on? right now I am not working on anything...I have several quilt tops that I need to sandwich, but have been too busy working on horse fence, a barn, and then a swimming pool to do any quilting. I REALLY need to get back into it!
