Its a Brother sewing machine scruffpod, and I have already made a Christmas wall hanging. And I have so many other things in mind. My old machine still works, but it was getting old, and we had a flood a while back and all the accessories to it were lost.

Janice Scuffpod-I love your hubby fixing that traveling ironing station for you-How easy that would be and probably the envy of every gal that sees it-and I'll bet you could get one of those trays for a steal at a thrift store or garage sale!
I REALLY like the idea-
In fact-I have one of those trays-I'm moving into my sewing room!-Ha!

Now for Christmas-let me see emoticon emoticon emoticon

Yes more emoticon would be wonderful!

and I would really like a cabinet for my machine-I've been thinking about looking online for a site with patterns to make your own.....any suggestions?

They are sooooo expensive-or has anyone seen someone that sells them cheap?

May all you emoticon wishes come true!

Bea emoticon

Cathy - we too are redoing our basement, and I'm getting a sewing area. I already have a sewing/cutting table as well as a huge light box (lighted drafting table). I want an ironing board, so I don't have to drag the one upstairs downstairs, and back again.

And for those of you looking for new machines, this weekend Bernina is offering on Saturday, Dec.6th only, 40 months no interest financing on models that are $4000 and up. It's a great deal for those looking for more bells and whistles. 2 of my girlfriends are going to our local quilt shop to get theirs. I bought mine last year or I would be there too!!

WILDHORSEANNIE my husband bought a wooden TV tray stand at a yard sale, made a cotton pad and covered it with a ironing boad cover cut to fit. It is great to sit beside me or take to quilt class because it folds up. He hame a velcro tab to keep it from un-folding when I carry it.

I took a paper piecing class last night. What I really wanted was the book recommended called The Expert's Guide to Paper Piecing Fundamentals. The shop is right across the street from my DH work, but it was the last book, so I no longer want it for
Christmas-he "bought" it for me-now to get him to
reimburse me the money I "lent" him last night to buy it, maybe I should charge him for the time to do the shopping for him too. emoticon
A gift card to one of the quilting stores would be wonderful, to be able to go in and pick out more fabric! Maybe I will hint at that.
A stitch regulator would be fun too. Wonder if they have one for a Janome, bottom of the line machine???

I got a new sewing machine on black friday, so what I need now is a better chair. I have problems with my hip from a car accident and just any old chair will not do.

We are in the process of redoing our basement. One part of it is going to be my sewing area. I hope I can get some sort of table to put in there for Christmas!

I would like a sewing/cutting table/cabinet. What I REALLY want is one of those folding tables with drawers etc. the expensive ones! Sooooo, I'll problably continue using my DR table.

On the practical side, I need/want a new small cutting mat about a 16X16 or so, I have a large one but sometimes it is too big!
AND since you asked, I want a walking foot for my machine.
I could go on and on!

I would like one of those small (about 18" x 12") pressing thingies with a little handle on the end. Its flip side is a cutting mat, and it sits on a little tv tray right beside the sewing machine for those tiny little pressing jobs at the sewing machine. I know its good to get up, but it sure is convenient and efficient to just turn and press then continue to sew!

For Christmas I would like my DH to actually assemble the sewing table (one of those raised ones, with sides that drop down) that I bought on sale over a year ago.

Or, a really nice new sewing machine would be great! Although my 17-year old Bernette (a low-end Bernina in the early 90's--anyone else have one?) still works nicely, all those bells and whistles might be fun!

I really need a new large pressing table, I will have to really hint efficiently. Maybe take him to the store.
